I have never understood why Alex almost seems to enjoy long ridiculous matches the first few rounds at tournaments. At first I Used to think it was just a fluke that he would sort of drop his play up and down and let lesser players win sets, but now I think it might be deliberate, like maybe he thinks he is physc-ing himself up by winning in 5 sets, its weird

Exhausting yourself in early rounds unnecessarily, is more than weird, it is stupid. I don't think Alex does it deliberately. He is not the guy winning on endurance.

Dolgo is 6-2 in 5th sets with his only losses being 8-10 to Tsonga at Wimbledon (2010) and 3-6 to Tomic in Australia this year (after a weird occurrence at the beginning of the 5th).
