I think the discussion about Federer`s draw wasn`t about the R4 match but mostly about the quarterfinal where on paper Berdych is the toughest draw he could get.

While it's refreshing to see someone else start a match thread for once, surely the actual scoreline is more more relevant info to put in the title than a different player's prospective opponents in a round he has yet to reach :rolleyes:

lets be honest here. Even if radek, andy and feliciano had made it through their first rounds it wouldnt make things any harder for federer

Goffin is done physically after this match, Kubot wavers way too much and might have to play in slow conditions by the time 3r comes around, Serra still hangs around to catch some more slam MDs and stash some money before he retires.

Clement is super fit and absolutely loves best of 5 matches, big favorite in my eyes.

Fed has virtual bye this year between round 1 and 4 :o If you're not a fan and there aren't any other matches at the same time, it's a waste of time watching his matches until quarterfinals.

Well, I get your point and you may be right. But I hope that Ungur and/or Klizan will give Federer some solid tests. Ungur and Klizan are very solid claycourters, both in a great form and both have some potential to play a good match also vs. Federer. Well, Federer is Federer, but I guess he will have at least some fair work to make it to the QF.

That R4 for Fed looks really crazy, though. Let´s be honest and say that draw was very acceptable for Fed till the QF and also Djokovic in SF is a better option for him than Nadal. That crying over Federer´s draw was simply pathetic. Considering all of the things, he has just a normal and fairly acceptable draw.

If you want to know my opinion I don't see any of these players being able to win a set against Federer, even a tie-break is unlikely.

I honestly don´t know. I hope you are wrong, but I am not sure. Ungur and Klizan both have potential and could give Federer some scares, but it depends on if they would be able to play their normal games and not coming on the court with a losing attitude. Klizan has weapons, Ungur showed it today, so we will see.

And yeah, I am not talking about beating Federer, that´s highly unlikely, but I would like to see some tension and fight there, at least.

Challengerslover, you're partially right, Federer didn't go through these rounds as easily as I expected but in the 3rd rd it was Mahut not Klizan (which I expected to be honest). Fed won three easy sets against Ungur and Mahut but lost one set on both occasions which is unexpected for me.

I can't imagine Goffin takes a set off Federer (I couldn't imagine it in Q-bot's case either).
