Frozen scoreboards in RG and other organization problems

In the first MD day of RG, and already a shameful problem. During several times of the day the scoreboard was fronzen during dozens of minutes and sometimes even about an hour. Is it acceptable that in a GRAND SLAM there are this kind of problems? Why not stick with the ATP regular SB?

God damnit, even in mug 30k challengers in Hong Kong, there isn't this kind of problems!

And I don't even want to mention the lack of light problem.

Is RG the worse organized slam? Cause for me,it seems we came back to 20th century everytime I look at RG. Why ITF doesn't do nothing about this?

Well, it's not RG's fault. The live scores at all slams are done by IBM and for the life of my I don't know why they scrapped the traditional slamtracker with scores of ALL matches for a modified version which gives you the scores of matches you can already see live... Plus you cannot access the RG radio from the Slamtracker anymore. The only worse change to a sporting facility I can remember is Eurosport's website being totally ravaged by Yahoo and their stupidity when they decided to "work together"...

I know it's not directly organization fault. That's why I've said to come back to normal ATP SB (even if it's not an ATP tournament but an ITF one).

But why? The normal ATP scoreboard is rubbish. It doesn't even list winners/UFEs, for pity's sake.

At least they frozen way less frequently than IBM one's. Winners/UE's are important too, but the who cares about that when the SCORE doesn't even work?

RG has bigger problems than frozen scorelines.

Like the lack of fucking roof over PC court and no lighting. It's pathetic how matches still have to be suspended due to "darkness". You would never see this sort of nonsense in Australia.

RG does not need a roof. The lights thing is another matter though, as it could also bring in extra revenue for the tournament with night sessions, etc. I think they'll have lights (not sure about a roof) from 2017. It was agreed last year.

One more thing that is annoying: no interview transcript post-match. The RG website just shows a minute or 2 of video of top players. Apparently they're keeping the transcripts for on-site journalists only, so as to protect them and their article writing. As a result we can't read a quote within its context, let alone what lower-ranked players might have to stay.
It's bullshit and I hate protectionism. I want to see first-hand how the Djoker is crumbling under his own pressure of setting RG as the ultimate goal of his season.

I still have no clue why the hell they pulled away from traditional LivescoreTracker with ALL courts and LIVE points. It was in every grandslam and it was presented by IBM. Dunno why they changed it.

EDIT : Yeah, one can admit we have now SlamTracker, but Livescoretracker (or how was it called) was more practical and just way better.

You can thank Matt Cronin and idiots like him who lobbied the ATP to keep transcripts to journalists only else media would not see the point of sending out journalists to the site of the tournament. His idiotic lobbying is the problem, not RG. Most of the problems mentioned here are either not RG's fault or take time to be addressed and are being addressed by the French Open.

I said this before. The French is going to get modernised by 2017 (it was 2016 before but because they want to keep students playing they've delayed it for a year). The deal was done some time ago now.

Scoreboard is about 3-4 points late (60 seconds).

Also it is impossible to see the duration of the sets and matches.

ATP scoreboard is OK compared to this slam shit.Even Davis Cup scoreboards are lot better. But best scoreboards which work perfect are on betting sites, unfortunate that not all matches are in live betting, only most interesting, " high profile " matches on showcourts are.

As for slam tracker , it is still 3 points behind the real scores and we really dont need all those bells and whistles, simple scores and short info about stats would be OK.

It is like Windows Vista : they wanted it do so good, that eventually it turned out crap.

What is with the Net Approaches stat?

Currently Muller has 80 and Verdasco 50.

Presumably this is percentage but (a) they should say so (as they do with other stats) and (b) giving the percentage is pretty meaningless unless you also say how many net approaches were made.

Since it is the bottom stat, it looks like the SB designers ran out of energy when they got this far into their project.
