Kevin saved four MPs in three separate games and was *2-5 down in the final set.
---------------------------------------

Huge shots from Kevin in the resumption of the match, big serves. Huge forehand return to break to serve for it, and great defense from Anderson at 30 all in the final game, where he turned the point around and won it after scrambling the entire point. Dropshot winner to end the match for Anderson.

Rui

You better take this tomorrow, otherwise it will go down as arguably the biggest choke/missed chance of your career, which is saying a lot really.

Machado is an unbelievable choker...why is he so scared to win? This match should already be over...Good for Anderson for hanging in and realizing Machado would gag on his own disgusting chokes...How many MP's did Machado waste anyways? The screaming lambs in his head tonight will be unreal...Dr. Lecter will have to analyze Machado after this is all said and done...lmao

It may be an amazing comeback for Anderson :yeah:

Bit embarrassing for Kevin to even be in this position. He served at 5-4 in the second set tie-break, he should have had this wrapped up already. Anyway, go Kevin!

Rui served to close the first and fifth sets and had 4 MPs in three different games.

If anything, Anderson is fortunate to be in this situation. Rui is the only one who had chances to have this match sewn up by now, lots of chances.

Wow.

These guys wont sleep well tonight, especialy Machado. He might have nightmares of wasting those match points he had.

So tommorrow they will come back and might play only 2 games. I hate these suspended matches.

If Kevin had won the two points on his serve from 5-4 in the second set tie-break, he would have been up two sets to love and likely would have won the match by now, considering he won the fourth set too. That was the point I was trying to make. Instead he didn't win those two points and is now battling for survival. If he wants to be Top 20 as he aspires to be, then he needs to win the points that matter more consistently. I am thrilled that he saved the match points, but don't think he should have been in this position in the first place.

Hopefully I articulated my PoV a bit clearer now :)

Trust Frenchies not to have lighting on their stadiums. The Euro economic crisis isn't THAT bad is it?

and Lenders was using that same logic to say that Machado would have won the first set when he served for it.:wavey:

Machado 1-12 in the season. Too bad they rigged the Estoril draw so he could get a win on the main tour :awww:

Rui

This was the mother of all chokes. Olympics hopes now dependent on quite a few players being non-eligible/withdrawing. Hope he can still make it somehow.

The difference was the serve. Rui is actually better than Anderson off the ground on clay, but Anderson has a huge serve and that makes all the difference compared to probably the worst serve in the top 100.

Anderson's 3rd win from a match point down, he saved 4 MPs also against Dent at Queens Club.

Filo, where is the logic?
You said that it wasn't good that real claycourter RRH lost to Raonic. Here is the same thing, but you are for Anderson...
