Great comeback for Pablo. Victor led *3-2 in the fourth set and from there Pablo won every single game through 4-0 in the fifth. Whether this is fitness induced or not, Pablo did what he had to do and finally got a win over an obviously bad match-up.

With that being said, a devastating loss for Hanescu given his ranking situation. Really needed a win here. So overall, this result is BAD.

Hanescu first set 1/6, creams Andujar in sets 2 and 3, goes break up in fourth ............ and loses the next eight games in a row.

Thoroughbred awesomeness.

like i said in another thread, i think victor might soon be calling it a career

he might give it a go another season but if he cant even get wins on clay anymore i dont see him continuing

Hanescu has lost his 4th consecutive Grand Slam five-setter, after Wimbledon '10 (lost to Brands), AO 2011 (Fish) and US Open 2011 (Llodra). In all of this matches he was 2-0 or 2-1 up.

I read that Hanescu cramped. Whether that is true or not, who knows, but it seems like he may have just gotten tired after Andujar broke him in the fourth set, since he saved a handful of BPs at *3-2 and got broken anyway.

Nice result. Wasn't looking good after that third set, but apparently Hanescu couldn't go the distance.

2R points defended, hopefully he can produce some good tennis against Wawrinka.
