ERV got better and better as the match went on. The final game he had 40-0 and choked, like he usually does, but was able to come through anyway, saving a BP. Pospisil was bad the final two sets, tons of poor errors. ERV was very shaky the first 1 1/2 sets but as he got more solid, he took control of the match; too slick and too good a counterpuncher for Pospisil, and served well after a negative start with his service.

Vasek started the match hitting out assertively and dominating most rallies but couldn't maintain a decent level. 55 errors overall. He's clearly not confident in his game.

vasek missed aq 0-40 game at the beginning of the 3rd set, got broken in his next service game and then never really threatened ERV'S service again until ERV served for it. Vasek was able to hold off 3 match points and even had a chance to break back but didnt take it

in the end, yes expected outcome.

Pospisil wasn't any good, so I can't say this match is a step forward for him. It really is not.

YOU do not have sole right to start match result threads. Nobody does. Whoever starts it first starts it first, and I really don't care who that is.

What I object to is:

1) starting the match thread before the match has finished

2) starting it to win some effing stupid competition with other poster(s) which means you don't even mention the match, you just do a stupid smiley and post as quick as you can.

IF I or other mods catch someone starting threads prematurely then there will be consequences. Bearing in mind 30 seconds is neither here or there, some people's tv coverage or streams might be slightly delayed so you think a match is ongoing when it actually finished. But when it's blatantly clear that it's happened, it will be dealt with.

YOU, Filo V, needs to stop reporting every time someone beats you to it. I'm not interested.
