The Rafa Slam: Can he do it?

Forget about the Novak Slam. More importantly, can Rafael Nadal become the only player to hold all 4 runner-up plates at the same time? History is truly in the making here.

We can have both the novak slam and the nadull runner-up slam.

That would be great.

Thinking about it, a lot of people complain about Federer and Nadal never meating in the US Open. So imagine what would had happened if Federer had won those match points against Djokovic... Yup, Fed Slam.

Now i´m glad he didn´t!

This is funny, but aren't people praising semi final streaks these days?

Nadal also has the chance to get the record of losing a Grand Slam final to the same opponent in all four different slams. Should Federer lose to Nadal at the USO final, he would complete the feat as well.

At first I thought this was a troll thread but this is clearly a legit find. He can become the GOAT runner-uper.

Rafa could probably run for most weeks at #2 too before his career is over. Maybe in dominating style.

Not sure if this is accurate. http://www.tennisplanet.me/blog/2012/02/most-weeks-no-2.html

Most weeks @ No. 2.

1. Spain Rafael Nadal 222
2. Germany Boris Becker 136
3. Sweden Stefan Edberg 104

Would be a fitting achievment for the best No.2 player in the history of tennis.

If other people can praise QF streaks, why not?

A place in the final is assured. Beyond that I don't know. Nole is really hungry.

It would merely add to his career, and I'm not being sarcastic.

The best result on clay ever: 6 FO. Well, 6 FO and 1 RU at the FO tops that, now doesn't it? Or do you mean that Fed's 1 FO is somehow hurt by the fact he lost 4 finals? Of course not. If he only had the one win, it could be a fluke. It's reaching the final 5 times that proves he deserved his win. Like Rafa reaching the USO final in 2011 proves his win in 2010, against the same rival, was no fluke. Likewise for AO this year.

Ten slams and 16 slam finals, 99.99% of all players in history would kill to boast those numbers.

Because, you see haters, you can never ever take away the 10 slams, now can you? I know, it hurts, but you'll just have to live with it.
Laughing at a player for losing finals is the very best evidence one can find that the one doing the laughing has a lousy personality.

That would be sweet but I'd like Rafa to take a 6-0 6-0 5-0 40-0 lead against Nole in the final and then loses it in 5. Now that would end his career which should have ended years ago to be honest but ATP is prolonging his career by slowing down courts
