this could be an ugly scoreline for Baker, expecting 6-3, 6-2 for Almagro.

15 match-streak... Could he enter RG in a winning streak?

Almagro is a different level than he's faced all week, so we'll see. Mucho's power may be too much, but I expect Brian to take returns even earlier and basically go all out. Almagro is the fav, but I wouldn't put it past Brian to finish this week in style.

Baker has no business winning this

but it could not be more obvious that he will

Almagro is heavy favorite, but Baker defied all odds so far. Baker in 3 sets.

Sadly Baker can't possibly overcome Almagro. Mugro in 2 but if Baker can come back from a set down again :worship:.

6-4, 6-2 to Almagro I'm afraid. Where will baker's ranking be with the 180 points? (is it 180 for a finalist?)

Happy whoever wins. Mugro rooted for JCF in Rome, which is good enough for me.

Another one for the hitlist. You have joined the exclusive list of idiots who hate the bake-GOAT. Beware Nadaltard.

nicolas is actually playing well, somthing davy wasnt doing and it took all he had for brian to beat him. If nico plays the way he did against simon today he'll beat brian is a similar scoreline

Baker will probably lose here but then again, people have been saying that all week. If he took out Mugro here it would be an insane finish to an already magical week.

Yes, for sure a player who was injured for 7 years and come back with a bang on a ATP TOUR EVENT where he defeated four Top 100 player in a row is a "mug"...

Go Baker, show us the ALMUGRO :wavey: Would be a good day in tennis history if he could finish this week with a title, no question. In 10 years everyone will only use the word "Almugro" in relation to Bakers big Comeback...

BAKER 7-6,7-6

Almagro's career is based around winning these kinds of matches in clay 250s and 500s. He should win this comfortably.

i sure hope not, Bryan despite his huge absence is obviously a better player. it's a shame he's played SO SO many matches the past few weeks, if he's not tired and/or out of it it would be beautiful. come on Baker, I voted you just because I believe in you!

Yep. The guy who lost basically 7 years of his career is going to tank a final.

Perhaps, this might sound silly, but every fairytale story has.... happyending!
for each of Baker's win, there was a reason why he won, Stak not good on clay,
Monfils injured, Davydenko's "head“- should retire... well.. why not face the fact
that Brian has been outstanding! He knew all the way what he is capable of, it
was just a matter of his body keeping a pace with it.
Today he faces Almargo who is definetly a force on clay, but same Almagro who crushed
Simon yesterday a while ago lost a set to Cilic (who fulled a bit everyone with run in Munchen) and beleive it on top, played even more matches in May!
Yes, Baker won a lot of matches at Challenger's level, but had nice break between that
and Nice tourney.
So @ 7.25 Baker is a must try. After all, the odds are almost set, as if he faces Nadal!.Well...
Not really!

Go Brian!

ps If he wins here, what is next for Baker? RG final? I never said that;)
