He played well, but not really inspired. Simon was shit. Nico outplayed him all match, just the better player this year.
Should and could have been 61 61. No sweat for both players, good for RG.

Nico to win the title now of course.

Simon took this match as a training, didn't really care much for the outcome, he must feel really confident about his chance at Roland Garros to let go 250 points and got satisfied with 90. Almagro played a mediocre match, but didn't really need to do much to win this, Simon was helping him a lot with tons of errors. Both were in negative numbers /W-UE/, I remember the first set it was Almagro 13-15 Simon 2-13.

Another pathethic performance by Simug  winning only four games in front of home crowd

Gilles was clearly not too concerned about the result of this match. Got some good match practice here in front of the home crowd and now lets have a good run in Paris.

Simon should make the quarterfinal in Roland Garros, he only got two tough opponents to beat - Wawrinka /he beat him in Indian Wells in straight sets/ and Tsonga /he beat him in Monte Carlo in straight sets/, so he shouldn't have many problems to reach the QF, but then Djokovic will be probably too strong for him.
