Definitely Ferrer. He might be a bit tired from all the matches he played this clay court season, but I think he will win it.

Ferrer too solid for Richie.

Gasquet has no chance. He will be too tired after a long match today, and also he is just not good enough.

If Gasquet can stay sober, he can win this.

Hopefully somehow Gasquet. The lesser of the two mugs.

Ferrer is one of the worst match-up for Richie with Nadal : 1-6 with 2-13 in sets (he always lost in straight against David except the one he won in 2008 which seems to be a lucke one). And the sets weren't even close (6-4 max)

This. May the lesser of two evils prevail here.

Looking at that H2H isn't reassuring though. Maybe Gasquet can draw some motivation from beating Murray :o

Definitely a fan of Gasquet if he can manage back-to-back SFs here in Rome.

The question should be "How many games will Gasquet win?" instead of "WWW"

Ferrer in straight sets is safe bet here. First of all - H2H is saying clearly Ferrer is tough opponent for Gasquet.
Secondly - Ferrer is one of fittest guy and Gasquet isnīt famous for his stamina-fitness and today played long match with long rallies, so i donīt believe he can win 3 setter against Ferrer. And to beat him in straigh sets on clay - this slow clay when Gasquet didnīt have good serve to help himself with some free points or raw power to finish points and rallies quickly, simply Gasquet in straight sets looks like mission impossible.

I think if Gasquet will win this it will be big upset, because of H2H, surface, and everything, Ferrer in straight sets is i think only possible result here.

Ferrer's prayers were answered. Although he would have beaten Murray, this should be a lot less of a workout.

That said, rather surprised they only played on clay once, back in 2004.

Pics is going to lay the hammer down in 2 sets. Pics is still pissed about the Barcelona final and wants a rematch with Nadal.

Ferrer will cruise through this match. Gasquet has nothing to offer against the type of tennis Pics represents.

This. Though they are less a growing movement and more a couple/handful of disgruntled individuals who seem to be getting increasingly vocal not only after his losses but even after routine wins

I like Gasquet too but know by now what to expect from him and would be pleasantly surprised if he at least makes it a tight two sets.

Ferrer.

Match-up issue in favour of Ferrer. Gasquet yet to win set.

Outside of Canada, you mean.

Yeah, I think Ferrer just knows how to easily deal with Richard. Gasquet does most of the work for him by standing so far back.

Also, Ferrer is a nice guy, and a great tennis player. He deserves all his success.
