Awful match from Tipsy, only held serve once.

I believe if Del Potro beats Tsonga now he'll be the 8th seed at RG, so was quite a big match in those terms.

Wawa's backhand was truly great for lots of the match. highlight reel stuff off that wing pretty regularly

Should have been a double breadstick, but good match from Wawa all the same. :)

Unfortunately I couldn't see this one as Nadal vs Mayer was aired here but it looked like Wawrinka wiped the floor with Tipsy... After the way Tipsy looked in Madrid I was convinced he will meet Fed again in the QF. Now who knows, it could be Seppi vs Ferrero in the QF ;)

Stan is playing well these past few weeks. More to come :)

Wawrinka brings his A game to reach QF and pull off a Ben Dover before Fed.

He wasn't going to do well on this kind clay.

That was pathetic Janko. Not even Nole's gifts can keep you in the top 10.

This was expected result. Stan is better clay court player than Tipsarevic.
Today, Tipsarevic was so bad:o

Nope, Potro goes down to Djokovic in the QFs and Tipsy keep his spot by 10 points.

May Del Po will get a wildcard in Nice and play a match just for that top 8 ranking if that happens... ;) Would be worth it - much better to meet top 3 in QF than R4. Personally think he has a shot at beating Novak in the QF anyway - he's been playing well - so maybe he'll get it here.

He's got a knee injury. I'm surprised he hasn't withdrawn from the tournament yet.

Impressive result from Stan (though Tipsy is a streaky player so it's understandable).

9-12 face 5-8 in fourth round, so it ain't that important to get #8. I'm pretty sure he's not that eager to avoid Tipsarevic, Tsonga, Ferrer and Berdych in the last 16.

Not to mention Nice points don't count for RG seeding. And yes, he could beat Novak, he has been playing very well lately. Chances are Novak will take it though, he's the best player in the world after all and Del Potro is still improving.

He's got a knee injury. I'm surprised he hasn't withdrawn from the tournament yet.

Not a serious injury, though. I'm sure the tape is just precautionary. No way he could have played and moved as well as he did today if he had a serious injury.

Tipsa what happened? He played so well in Madrid. I know Wawrinka is a better claycourter than him but he got absolutely crushed.:speakles:

Too late for that, all the WC's are gone.

It's appearently not that serious.

No, I don't. He said he's carrying a knee injury from Madrid. But it's obviously just a little niggle, hence the precautionary tape.

It's not a serious injury, or he'd have withdrawn for sure. Not to mention no one can move as well as he did today with serious knee ailments.

For sure. Let's not forget how he immediately stopped playing after carrying that little wrist niggle during the Australian Open in '10....

Oh wait...

I think it's more about not having Nadal face a deadly combination of Tipsarevic and Murray in the QFs and SFs of Roland Garros.

Which is why I'm even more convinced he's ok.

I mean, he surely couldn't make the same mistake twice, could he? That was the stupidest decision of his career, who knows how much it cost him (in terms of titles and rankings and prize money and health, and all?)?

Can't believe he'd make the same mistake or that his team would allow him to.

Nah, Tipsarevic will be in Nole's quarter, book it.

NID from ten million miles away. Wawrinka is by far the better player even when he's playing 20%. He's just got more weapons, patience and mentality compared to Mugsarevic.

Janko puts in just enough effort to make an obscene amount of money per year, and does a lot of sightseeing with his uber-babe/wife after his early/midtourney exits. You desk monkeys still don't get it.
