Very entertaining match. Mika had BP at 4 all in the first set and missed a return, if he would have taken it, you have to wonder if JMDP would have stayed for a second set. DelPo was cruising in the third set and had *5-3 30-0, but Mika played four great points in a row to break, aggressive net approaches and a forehand DTL to break. JMDP recovered well and was able to break to win the match, hitting a forehand DTL return and BH cross court winner return back-to-back to win. Some amazing volleys from Mika throughout, touch volleys, wrong-footer volleys, drop volleys. JMDP played his best in the third set, returned well and made things tough for Mika at the net, started dictating more from the baseline. Match had a good energy at the end and Mika's got amazing flair when he's motivated and playing well.

Hopefully JMDP's knee issue isn't serious.

When I saw Llodra after breaking Delpo at 3-5 to stay in the match complaining to the ump with vulgarity about people moving in the crowd, I knew he would lose.

Why are you focusing on people in the crowd when you should be focusing on your 4-5 service game? You need fucking tunnel vision, nigga.

Delpo too strong at the end.

It was a fun and funny match.:lol:

Knee issues?

Yes, he had a niggle with his right knee (I think it was the right knee, I'm horrible with whole left/right deal when it comes to pointing direction out on others) but he took a medical timeout, was flexing it a lot. But it got better as the match went on.

Expected result, though Delpo clowned around.

Llodra's the clown here.

Delpo :worship: What a champion.

That said, I hope the knee issue isn't serious. If he can't be 100% to face Youznhy tomorrow, might as well with withdraw and focus on getting fully fit for Roland Garros. No risks should be taken, especially considering his usually fragile physique.

Juan is so unlucky, he can never be fully healthy for a long stretch, it seems. Oh well, I'm happy and relieved he got the US Open title before he had his career-threatening wrist injury. Regardless of what might happen in the future, he can retire a happy man with his Grand Slam title :D

Vamos Juan!

a win is a win, go delpo!

Juan :yeah:

Similar end to their epic in Rotterdam it seems?

Very entertaining match. Mika had BP at 4 all in the first set and missed a return

I didn't see the match but it was impossible for Llodra to have a break point at 4-all in the 1st set.

- Because Del Potro served to win the match at 5:3 in the 3rd set it means Llodra had to serve first in the 2nd set;
- it means Del Potro finished the 1st set serving;
- it means Del Potro was serving as the second player in the 1st set;
- it means at 4 all Llodra had to serve

Llodra had a set point at *4-5. The left knee was the one which was giving DelPo a problem.

NID when he fumed about something so insignificant. To say he is a clown is a huge understatement.

05-15-2012, 05:27 PM

Juan :yeah: Improve now.

05-15-2012, 05:28 PM
Injured already? He is made of glass.

Getting taken to three on clay by Llodra isn't very impressive.

05-16-2012, 12:26 AM
Oh well, I didn't expect Llodra to beat this ballbasher on clay. Still a good effort, though, Del Mugtro will be sent packing by first decent player he meets as it usually happens.

Well Llodra does tend to trouble Juanito at times:scared: :scared:

But Delpo play better in the next round please:o:o

Good effort from Mika, some beautiful plays.

Delpo played pretty well actually, wasn't moving the greatest but you don't really have to against a net rusher. Llodra could've won in straight sets quite easily, Delpo really seems to struggle against net players.

Llodra just a bad mathc up for Delpo, always tough contest between the two of them.
