Can someone explain why the cutoff for Wimby and the AO is 100, but it's 103 for RG?

The number of players who use their PR is different. ;)

Ljubicic is erased in the rankings and PHM and Devvarman used PR's here. So the cutoff is 100.

Hopefully, there are four withdrawals, we already know Soderling is out, so three more. I want Victor to get in. After that I don't care.

When does the R1 qualifying start? What day? Which week's rankings determine the seeding order for the qualifying draw? Is it the rankings as of June 11th or June 18th?(since the qualifying draw is made after the tournaments have ended for the week of June 11th)

Ugh. Karol Beck is set to make it into the MD, when he probably wouldn't make it through qualies. Not good.

The draw is made on Sunday, so I presume they use the rankings of the 11th.

As discussed above, Zemlja will likely have been given the last MD WC for his Nottingham win.

Beck is in the MD.

Will there definitely be any lucky losers in the main draw, or none as yet?

If there are lucky losers, how will they be selected?

I think it is explained before. If there is lucky loser spots ( lets say 1 open spot in MD) they put 4 highest ranked quali 3rd round losers names into hat and random draw picks the lottery winner. It happened in RG, and Goffin won the jackpot. If there is 3 open spots in MD, then there is 5 names in hat and so on. Principle is : there has to be at least 2 more names in hat than open spots in MD.

So far it looks like Monfils withdrew ( cant see him in seeded players list ) , but maybe there is more

So this place goes to a lucky loser and not the player next on the list(Hanescu)?

Monfils did withdraw according to the seedings list where he's absent.

I guess it gives a place to a lucky-loser.

Surely the LuckyLoser places only become available if someone withdraws AFTER the draw is made.

Zopp is still a big choker  1-2* in the fourth set.

But he should be a Lucky Loser ?! Monfils withdraw so #1 from the third qualifying round should be IN ?! Maybe a reason why he is tanking that one.

Nope. LL spot is random draw between top4 3rd round losers.Noone cant count on lottery luck and tank. If there any LL spot at all, we dont know when Monfils withdrew.

Monfils il not a late withdrawal, draw hasn't been made yet
I can't see any LL's name on ATP's seeding for the moment
The last seed is Kevin Anderson

Because LL can't be seeded as it's someone who loses today on qualy draw.

Monfils is a late withdrawal as the qualy has started.

Actually, Monfils' withdrawal made Andy Roddick a seed. Then the grass results came into play for seeding purposes - Andy did make the semis of Queens last year and won a couple of Wimbledon matches - so he went up to #30. Youzhny and Benneteau had passed Anderson due to better grass results.

MrEleganza
06-20-2012, 07:21 PM
Can someone please confirm - the LL will be pulled by random lot of the four highest qually seeds/ranking...but only those who made the final of their qualifying bracket. Is that correct (i.e., Daniel Brands, ranked #2 in the quallies, is not eligible because he lost in the first round of the qualifying competition)?

If 4 seeds didn't lose in the qualifying finals, as it appears will be the case, do they then determine who fills out the LL pool by ATP ranking?

Finally, when will the LL be announced? With the rest of the draw on Friday, or earlier?

Well, given that Odesnik is not the highest seed eligible for LL, either they have already had the draw or O'Shaughnessy is wrong.
