Great improvement from Gulbis in the last few weeks. If he continues like this he is probably going to win a slam in 87 years.

Gulbis had chances this match. He fought back after being down a break in the 3rd, but chokes yet again.

This win was expected, Giraldo is going to win RG. Gulbis must have been pretty good to win a set

Fed is happy, Gulbis won't beat him in round 2 again

Reportedly, it was an intense match, and very up-and-down quality. The good thing for Gulbis is that he's becoming more competitive at this level, but unfortunately for him, he's still not winning and he's still not playing very well.

As for Santi, he got the required victory.
