Verdasco already did his job this week, but Berdych was pretty solid today will have to step it up against del Po in the semis.

Too good, Verdasco.

Career changing win for Verdasco.

A career changing match yesterday... not.

Mugdasco is back :D

Expected in some sense, yesterday's achievement against Nadal, cost Verdasco too much in every department, reminds me of Roddick's win in Miami against Federer, on the following day A-Rod had nothing to show facing Monaco.

Very much expected result.
Berdych might be the only one who appears to be enjoying this surface - he's been cruising so far.
Berdych - Del Potro is a match to watch out for. :yeah:

Verdasco only proved here that his victory yesterday was for 90% due to it having been a matter of Nadal succeeding in a brutal attempt of beating himself.
Never mind, QF of a masters, good result anyhows.

Fiasco will always be a legend in the game. Berdych has to much to bring to the table on fast courts/conditions for claycourters like Nando and Nadal had he played.

Berd monstering his opponents.

Verdasco was too deep in the court - he should have realised early on Berdych's form was going to kill him given enough time on the ball. Monfils made the same mistake.

Im happy with Nando, im not sad that he lost because he lost to a better player, thats all. But at least he got into the quarters of his hometown for the first time. Berdych was too solid like most of the people here said. Berdych is on a roll right now. He was in the semis in MC, so im not surprise that he is playing very well.
Vamos Berdy:cheerleader:

Nando i still love you, i dont care what people say about you. :smooch:

This was nid just as Roddick getting spanked by Monaco after heroics.

Good showing by a future top5. The match vs Delpo will be the first real battle during this clay season. It's nice that the defensive muggery was put on hold for a while.

Berdych had routined Nadal too 6-2, 6-2 or so in his current shape and in these conditions

Lopez

How bad was Nadal  :p ?

In all seriousness, Berdych played really well. This court suits him perfectly since it is quite difficult to defend on it and in addition his "hail mary" defensive shots from behind the baseline put the opponent in uncomfortable positions (if he gets it in!) whereas on slower courts, these defensive shots could be easily directed into the open court.

Now we have a Berdych-Delpotro semifinal. Two true claycourters here.

:haha: The minute I saw that over the top celebration following the Rafa win I knew Nando would be in serious trouble in his next match. Too much emotional energy spent. HOWEVER I have to say Tomas absolutely adores this surface. I bet he will go on a one man campaign to keep this in the calendar for as long as possible. I look forward to the Del Potro clash. That is the final right there!

sad but true my friend. if nole won't be in finals, this is birdshit's tournamentNah mate, it's far from sure Berdy will even win his semi vs Delpo.

But either way Olderer will take the title. He's playing smart tennis for this surface.

Verdasco bandwagon crashes...

The surface seems to suit Berdych's game, but Del Pussy will be tough.
