On the whole an easy match for Federer. Had a bit of difficulty serving it out, but got through in the end. :)

Very easy. Very good Roger today.

I knew yesterday's match against Raonic would do him good. I wasn't wrong, visibly.

Gasquet has absolutely nothing to trouble Federer.

Can't get any more routine than this.

Fed has the title in the bag if doesn't clown around.

Served 3 aces from bp down to win the match. Nice touch, Roger!

Quick work for Federer, Gasquet offered nothing.

It was 2-2 in the 2nd between Ferrer-Mugro when Fed came on court and they haven't finished. :haha:

Nice clinical stuff from Routinerer. Making up for the long fight last night, good stuff from Daddy :)

Onwards, Upwards Rog!

You mean he actually won when he was serving for the match 5*-2?

Inconceivable!

Lulz moment at the end :- Rogi threw a towel on top of a security guard's face.

Wasted 2 MPs but what the hell..Great performance from the king of tennis.

Just one thing: His forehand seems to be very consistent, but he was kinda bad at choosing where to play it. Fed had a lot of balls that Gasquet placed inside the serving box, which should be an easy winner, but he sometimes couldn't pick the right side to play it to.

But like I said clinical win and everything looks great.
Believing in Roger all the way :)

Richie got destroyed.
Hope Ferrer and Mugro tire each other out for the QFs.

Comfortable victory for Federer, Richard didn't trouble him.

Federer hit several amount of winners past Richard. Richard did have 2 BP in the match but couldn't convert. Richard was 0-15 up on Roger's serve, quite a few times but couldn't do anything from there.
To me it looked like, Richard looked a bit tired from the middle of the 2nd set but this takes nothing away form Roger's performance.

He has a few days off now and hopefully he continues his good form into Rome.

Allez!

Not many guys in the top 50 that are less of a threat to the top players than gasquet. He cruises past lower ranked players and offers no resistance to guys ranked above him.

Too good from Roger, and for Richard some days off before attacking real clay in Rome may be a hidden blessing.

Gasquet is such a poor player against the big guys, this was a walkover for FedEx...

And where are those whiners who were saying Fed's confidence will go downhill after loss to Roddick :haha:

Roger is playing a remarkable season by far.

Takes more than 3 normal sets of tennis to tire out Ferru!
I want a final set tiebreak to go 18-16 :-p

Strangely enough quite a number of Top 50 players have a 0-whatever H/H against Roger, while Richard has beaten him twice.

Number 6 Ferrer: 0-12
Number 16 Lopez: 0-10
Number 34 Youzhny: 0-12

Just to name a few.

You just got that sense considering the ridiculous court and conditions that the arrogant swiss would fluke a win here. Hopefully thats not the case. Considering Novak's so unhappy with the surface it seems he might though.

Turns out Humbalito is nothing but a classical clay specialist who managed to win a few slams on other surfaces as well.

Again, this is Federer vs Gasquet thread, has nothing to do with Nadal. You are pathetic hater and I don't think it gives your idol any good to have a fan like you. Hoping that Ferrer and Almagro would tire themselves :rolls: I guess you will be sitting on the Livescore thread today and swearing at Tipsy for not tiring Djokovic? :haha:
