Plenty of variation in this match, some funk, junk, fine shots and bad errors as well. Tsonga just before the TB had a bad slip.

The tiebreaker was at least better than the courts.

another typical match between these two guys

Easy stuff, no wobbles whatsoever. Completely un-up-and-down as per usual :yeah:

GOAT tie-break.

Thank god my boy prevented No-Gamefried Clownga from winning another match on clay, would've been horrible for the game.

Exactly. Very up and down but also entertaining.

Dolgopolov should have won in 2 sets though.
He was clearly the better player and he will have a good chance against Cilic/ Del Potro.

Wonderful match from the Dolgo:bowdown:
Tsonga wasn't even in his usual clown mode today - he was just outclassed and left in the dust by mighty ukrainian:drive:

Gave up on Dolgo after losing the break twice in the third, but he proved me wrong! now i'm happy I chose him in the ATP challenge to reach the quarters! :)

NID. Dolgo always had this no matter how shit he played.

Great match. That said, the clay season can't end soon enough for Tsonga. Hope he at least keeps beating low ranked players. He's already done better than last season, with QF at Monte Carlo and R16 here.

Good win for Dolgo. Okay, it was only Tsonga on clay, but he needs to win these close matches against Top 10 players.

Don't think that was because of the courts though, his slide was over, and as he moved his back foot he lost balance and feel sideways, he didn't slip on slippary courts

I’m happy for Dogopolov.

But, I only saw the tiebreak so far, so I can’t comment on the match.

The courts are still shit, no matter how many times they water it.

no doubt

just pointing out that I don't think the shitty courts caused that one

Great win. This is the type of wins that he needs to start picking up more often, tight wins over the layers in the 6-15 range.

Time for Jo to take a coach, he is clearly struggling atm. Enough to beat mugs like Kohli or Verdasco, but he will have problems against good players.

tsonga doesn't have the discipline and application in matches like this especially on clay. the end of the 1st set he was so braindead and loose when he should have tightened up his game.

I'mma let you finish...but Verdasco had one of the best comebacks of all time.

I swear to never call him a mug again, unless he losses to Lu on clay for a second time.

As far as this match goes, this is a good victory for Dolgo. I think he may have a chance against Del Potro in the SF. Hell, this half of the draw is pretty open now.

You're calling TSONGA a brainless basher? Did you see some of the dumb shit Dolgopolov was doing in the match? They're BOTH pretty bad when it comes to bashing.
