The top seed toppled in one of the weakest fields of the season.

A shocking result, saying the 27 years old Mexican is a dreadful player would be a compliment, only explanation is a fix or tank; Lu could have earned a lot points here, don't get it...

Lu is saving himself for another Wimbledon run, this was just a hitting practice

Unexpected result. Lu is a decent player, while Garza is someone who I never heard of, but I am sure is a big mug.

Lu expresses little interest in shitty challenger tournaments like Mugsan. Giving free glory to some loser who fails miserably at tennis was the best thing he could do, in terms of being a good sportsman. Lu will rise come the grass season and take his first slam at the All England Club. Rest assured.

Garza isn't that bad, I remember him defeating Ram some time ago and making SF in Sarasota challenger.. anyways Lu has already suffered ridiculous defeats this year if we take into account his ranking.. lost against Jones, A. Ward, Chiudinelli etc., and retired against Monaco in Miami

Garza isn't dreadful, but Lu is normally a few classes above him.

The sad thing is that Lu's ranking often revolves around Challengers such as these, where he generally doesn't fail to make it to the finale weekend. This result is totally unexpected.

Karma for spending 90% of his time at Challengers when he could be playing ATP tournaments.

Lu has been playing injured AT LEAST for the past year. I do not understand this human being. Is he having to pay protection or just carrying some sort of nasty cocaine addiction?

There is no other explanation. Heck, I wouldn't rule out S&M. Fits the case.
