How do you stop yourself from becoming old ahead of time?

I'm 25. I used to like drinking, pizza and drinking. Now I like coffee and watching the news, and when i'm in a club I want to go home at midnight because my back hurts and i'm tired. How do I make myself young again? I don't want to be all old yet.

Genuine suggestions and mocking commentary welcome.

Find the right sexual partner. Trust me on that one. You'll feel young awfully quick again. Good sex brings good energy. Energy is what will revitalize you.

Play sports.

...and change your mindset. Why are drinking coffee and watching the news associated with aging? You're only as young or old as you feel.

Why would you want to be stuck in a teenager's mindset all your life, anyway? It's very unhealty glorifying the past. If you really look back objectively, you'll see that you were quite stupid at 17 when compared to now and probably wouldn't want to go back to that even if given the chance to.

Though the fact that you're lagging in your love of pizza is pretty worrying, perhaps you should see a specialist about that.

If you are into drinking and drinking, you're not young, you're a present or future alcoholic :) Back pain can be fixed via better exercising, while clubs suck anyway, but I'm old too, what do I know :p

yeah i lost interest in clubbing, drinking and recreational drugs at 21. since then i only go to clubs once in a while for certain purposes but i do feel the same need to go back home as soon possible.

perhaps you should become acquaint with younger people and let their energy rub off you .

i agree that regular sex or exercise help boost self esteem and vitality.

i did this and made me feel worse :(.

Drink 2 six packs of red bull every day.

this would just cause heart palpitations and eventual death.

i'm eating domino pizza right now with fresh pineapple on top. it not glorifying the past but instead of wanting to feel more active socially and physically.

I'll vote for less drinking; if you thought about alcohol (better if you don't drink at all :p) and more training. And more healthy and varied meal.
For your back, only the systematic movement can help.

Drink 2 six packs of red bull every day.

It's a bad idea, two per a day is unhealthy enough (but 12??) plus Red Bulls don't help when you'll have addict.

I don't see it that way. If the OP were only concerned about activity, he wouldn't bring age into it. (sorry for trying to cheaply psychoanalyze you, OP.)

And :yeah: for pizza. Though meh on the pineapple.

I would say that I consume copious amounts of alcohol but that doesn't make me an alcoholic.

Taejin is such a sermonizer. Drinking in parties doesn't make you an alcoholic. Supporting Nole is much more dangerous imo.

I'm curious. If I told you that I drink say maybe 12-16 standard drinks 3-4 nights a week, would you consider me an alcoholic? Keeping in mind I can go extended periods of time without drinking and I never crave it at any time..

What's a "standard drink"? How many ml is that? :)

Depends what the drink is. Let's just say 12-16 beers for arguments sake.

If a beer is 0.33l, that's nearly 5l of beer 3 or 4 times a week...I'd say that's a lot, even if it's pure water that's twice the daily intake amount :)

What's a "standard drink"? How many ml is that? :)

35ml of vodka/whiskey (40%) or 100ml of red wine (13.5%)

One hour is the time needed for your liver to break down the alcohol in one standard drink.

Well, if it's true it's not a habit for you, and it doesn't affect your life, then technically you wouldn't be one, but where is the border between "not a habit" and "now it's a habit"? :)

I only drink when I'm going out clubbing or to a party. Or some quiet beers while watching the footy.

You think being young is all about getting drunk and staying up late partying? It is not. There's a lot more to it.

Either way, being young is overrated. Just live your life the way you want to, and the way it makes you happy.

I'm 29 and, while I only have the energy to go out clubbing once a week these days (and preferably on Saturdays, since it's the day I'm more rested), I still can pull off all-nighters of heavy drinking quite comfortably. Maybe it's because I have never been that much of a party animal (not even in my younger years), so I still have a bit of energy to burn despite being almost thirty. For me I see it as some sort of therapy and an escape from the daily routine, nothing to do with being young or not. Everyone needs something like that, it's just the actual activity that varies with the person.

I think regular exercising (at least three times a week) is a must.

you need to spend some money on a prostitute... there should be one in a nearby city to you, just check the escort webpages...

i dont think this will make you feel young... i just think it is just something you should do...

do some sports and some clubbing

you'll eventually get tired of clubbing and will try to settle down with the one you love. that's when you know you're getting old.
