I saw no need to disallow ''open'' discussion of this. Even if I don't know how to change Sprska in the title.

OK, let's get the ball rolling, give me some of your insights on the topic, please. You are the author of this thread, after all. :) Watching the Novak-Andy watch atm, though.

My own opinion is that daddy Djokovic is angling to bring the Republika Srpska Open into the family pizza empire. Somebody should remind him that Godfather Pizza has been done already.

But in GM I was told repeatedly that I don't know enough to have valid insights and therefore should leave discussion of this topic to more experienced people.
Just waiting for enlightenment.

I couldn't care less about papa Djokovic. Is this a thread about him? I think that the OP in the GM thread wanted to point out that papa Djokovic disrespected the independence and sovereignty of Bosnia by visiting Srpska and saying he felt they were still one country and one people. You should know that there is a strong anti-Serbian sentiment, especially in the region, maybe comparable to anti-German sentiment in some parts of Europe after the WW2. But there are not just two sides, try to imagine many tribes and their chiefs locked in one small piece of land, fighting over petty things, and seeing their happiness in demise of other tribes rather than in their own growth, with lots of fear and distrust involved. Since Novak Djokovic seems to be representing one of the tribes he must be evil by definition. And everything coming from Serbia or having to do with Serbs must somehow be linked to war. This is a very strong need, like a strong drug, an addiction.

On the other hand, by admitting to disliking Djokovic, you can be perceived as a supporter of the anti-Serbian tribes by some Serbs. Look, my problem is that I detest people who enjoy watching this Balkan Horror show, eating popcorn, doing nothing to stop the nonsense but instead fueling it further. I don't refer to you here. This is your first lesson on the Balkans, more to follow if you are an enthusiastic student.

I live in Belgrade, so this is not so strange. I will probably change the flag again, it's just to honor Frida and The Day of the Dead in Mexico, I like the way they perceive death, the way it should be done really, which is something alien to Western culture. In medieval times we had the memento mori thing which disappeared in modern times. I used to have other flags, but you are right, I will change the location to Belgrade ;)

The original thread was. I am not interested in Nole, but am somewhat curious about the family, from what I have seen and read.
