wow, strong challenger :)

03-29-2012, 11:20 AM
I expect Phau, Odesnik and Querrey to do well here. A lot of players that are weak on clay..

It's a good list but a weird one, given the difference in quality of clay ability, given a lot of these guys are former ATP players trying to get back to their previous level. I think Sweeting, Dancevic and Bjorn will have good results. Some of the traditional clay-courters could be hard to beat, like Prodon, Zeballos and RRH. If Tommy plays well, he's the best player, and green clay should suit him well, plus he's motivated to be top 100 again. This is the final week before RG cutoff so there will be a lot of anxiety here and guys will have a lot on the line.

04-06-2012, 03:24 PM
Dancevic is sometimes alright on green clay.

04-11-2012, 04:58 AM
Good choice to get this challenger after Houston.

04-12-2012, 11:09 PM
Becker out, Yani in.

Becker out, Yani in.

Do you know why Benni pulled out?

04-13-2012, 01:51 AM
Happy birthday to Nicholas Monroe today who will be playing doubles in Sarasota! Such a great guy!

04-13-2012, 03:56 AM
Do you know why Benni pulled out?

He won't play until May, he needs some rest.

Filo V.
04-16-2012, 11:07 PM
44% of service points won for Zverev, but who knows if he's actually 100% after retiring from his last two events with fatigue.

04-17-2012, 03:41 AM
good win Kudla :D

04-17-2012, 08:49 AM
Haas withdrew ? Can't find the score of Haas-Kuznetsov...

04-17-2012, 12:48 PM
Yes, Delic (LL) will play Kuznetsov today

04-17-2012, 01:00 PM
kuznetsov is a former champion here i think

Keyser Soze
04-17-2012, 06:08 PM
Smyczek def. Matosevic 6-7(4) 6-4 7-6(6).

Matosevic lead 4-2 in the second set, 3-1, *4-3 and *6-5 in the third and also missed a MP at 6-5* in the tiebreak.

Disappointing for Ryan, not able to build on his performance from last week in Houston. Also now, he'll probably not gain the points necessary to get the USTA WC into the French Open.

04-17-2012, 09:10 PM
Soeda 7-6(4) 2-6 7-6(5) :yeah:

Go lost six straight games from 2-2 in the second but came back from 2-4 down in the third to win in a 3rd set TB. Didn't expect him to win a round here on clay :)

04-18-2012, 02:37 PM
kudla has a shot against blake at this shape :tape:

04-18-2012, 05:02 PM
 Levine reinvents hir career, reaches very respectable 130s in February, since then:

R1 Memphis L 6:7(2) 4:6 to Kubot
R1 Delray Beach L 4:6 6:7(15) to Isner
R1 Indian Wells L 7:6(10) 6:7(4) 2:6 to Ramos
R1 Miami L 6:7(8) 6:7(3) to Kunitsyn
R1 Tallahassee CH L 6:7(0) 6:4 2:6 to Gard
R1 Sarasota CH L 6:7(4) 6:2 6:7(5) to Soeda

Epic stuff. If you wonder how many times he either served for the set, had a nice lead in the set or had set points in the tiebreak in those tiebreak sets that he lost the answer is IN NEARLY ALL OF THEM.

04-18-2012, 05:25 PM
Only the loss to Gard is well and truly horrible

Filo V.
04-18-2012, 05:50 PM
True, Martijn, but Jesse is a choker and that is the problem.

04-18-2012, 06:20 PM
Russell 6-4 6-3
Prodon 7-5 6-4

Eric :hatoff:
Good win for Mikey, hope he can go deep here and in Savannah to get the French Open WC. Surprised Rubén played here to begin with, he should tank the doubles now to be a bit fresher for Barcelona qualies next weekend. I wanna see him there :)

04-18-2012, 11:51 PM
Querrey - Baker 6-3 1-6

C'mon Brian, clutch the third.

04-19-2012, 08:16 PM
Anyone with info on current rain delay pls? Is it serious or can we expect just a short one?

04-19-2012, 08:37 PM
I think they might be done for today...given it's Florida and thunder season behind the corner....

04-19-2012, 09:06 PM
I think they might be done for today...given it's Florida and thunder season behind the corner....

They have just resumed the play so we'll see..and now for something completely different, I hope the Thunder season to Florida is coming in NBA finals :D

04-20-2012, 05:15 PM
Odesnik hasn't been serving well enough at all thus far. Needs to improve quickly to win this 2nd set and take it to a decider and go from there.

04-20-2012, 05:27 PM
Odesnik does just that and takes the 2nd set 6-4.

04-20-2012, 05:44 PM
Eric was leading 7-5 3-0* and now he's down a break in the third

04-20-2012, 05:56 PM
Odesnik 57 64 62

04-20-2012, 06:00 PM
Eric had no answer once Wayne got his sh*t together. Excellent performance in the 3rd.

04-20-2012, 06:07 PM
Excellent comeback Odesnik after missing some chances in the first set...Thought he was done after going down 3-0 in that second set...Keep that shit goin' man :)

04-21-2012, 04:49 PM
Lorenzi taking odesnik to the cleaners

04-21-2012, 06:19 PM
what's up with lorenzi match?

04-21-2012, 06:21 PM
Weird....its been stopped for a long time....technical difficulties maybe?

04-21-2012, 06:25 PM

04-21-2012, 06:30 PM
Yeah that is really strange

04-21-2012, 06:32 PM

04-21-2012, 06:32 PM
looks like rain to me

04-21-2012, 10:18 PM
Anyone know the score for Lorenzi - Odesnik match?

04-21-2012, 11:45 PM
Lorenzi 62 36 63

Filo V.
04-21-2012, 11:57 PM
Well, the only good thing about that result is that hopefully Mikey wins today, and then wins the tournament. So Michael is ahead in the USTA French Open WC rankings.

04-22-2012, 07:15 AM
Querrey will enter TOP80 if he wins today.

04-22-2012, 08:55 AM
Semi Finals:

Paolo Lorenzi ITA [5] bt. Wayne Odesnik USA [7] 6-2 3-6 6-3

04-22-2012, 09:54 AM
Good win from Querrey considering Russell claycourt late form :yeah:.
