Wonder if the prisoners had a say in this. If I was a detainee I'd prefer a mini-pitch (it's always hard getting big teams together) and a bowling ally. I think they already have a basketball court.

I question the relevance of this news in the face of human rights issues. The clear intent here is to gather sympathy for the US government, which is why they're doing it themselves. The question still exists: What's the relevance?

The fact it's a football (soccer) pitch, not baseball or basketball, probably means the detainees actually had a say.
