It sometimes happens, but they still count the ace for the player who really hit it.
For example, sometimes it says that a player hit his ace #0, and he was receiving. They just count it in the stats for the player who was serving and hit an ace.

this was only a warm up for doubles....Dodig/Mello- Tomic/Sweeting

a dramatic, three-set victory w/ 19 aces over the rising upstart is just what the doctor ordered for dodigdeep to start rebuilding his confidence. huge win for him.

tomic still has a ways to go. he has the size, the game and the talent, but the jury is still out on his mental fortitude. given his spectacular form this year, these are the types of 1st rd. matches he should be winning. one definitely gets a sense of entitlement from tomic.

Agreed, I think Tomic needs to work on his serve particularly the 2nd. I was shocked at the pace of his second delivery given his height.
