Bad for the game when Istomin chokes and loses 6 games in a match like this.

Excellent from big Denis, didn't look like losing this match. Dominated from the baseline making the Duck look more average than usual from the back.

Good for the sport when Roddick loses.

Expected after Roddick's R1 showing, Isto did it in style though, conditions are perfect for him.

A good day when Troicki and Roddick win 7 games in 4 sets combined :)
Well done Istomin, vs Benneteau or Darcis should be a more competitive match

Congrats Denis. Would be nice if he won the title.

That was a disgraceful performance, on par with Fernando's loss to Ramos earlier today:o

Andy, you have disappointed me once again. I can't believe I still struggle to hold on and support you in your matches after performances like these. Just retire already:o

Roddick is a genius at making his opponent looks like a GOAT.
His ground stroke is just beyond horrible, cant penetrate for shit and painful to watch these days

Roddick is the same age as Lopez and Benneteau and Ferrer- yet they are all at or near their peak rankings, and he's looks fat and half-way retired. He's surely made much more in prize money than they ever will, so I'm not sure why he's still out there- he doesn't seem committed.

the way istomin just glides around the court so effortlessly reminds me of mecir. he also has perfect timing and technique off both wings and generates such easy power. the bh reminds me of mecir as well.

Nowadays anything can happen to A-Rod. So I'm not surprised. I'm happy for Istomin as he beat a GS champ. ;)

another guy looked like Goat against Roddick . Don't know where Roddick wants to go from here  . Great from Istomin just not sure if he is really that good at the moment or playing Roddick raised his confidence

Raonic easily beat him in DC a week ago so I doubt Benneteau would beat him now if they met in the final.

Raonic first need to beat Harrison, later we will see what's going on.

Then Benny played him in doubles and seem to be hitting return winners off his serve left and right. So I think it will be a good match if it happens.

Roddick will retire after next year's US Open. Losing to Istomin 2,4 at home? Might need to retire earlier than that. He's probably headed out of the top 30 after his Memphis win comes off.

I saw Istomin in Sydney and he looked in very good form. He's only lost to form or highly ranked players so far this year: Tomic (Brisbane), Nieminen (Sydney) and Tsonga (Australian Open).

Roddick has made 20 million dollars in prize money alone. With all those stupid endorsements we've had to watch in for all those US Opens he flamed out in the early rounds, he should be set for life. I honestly don't understand why he's still playing- he's not fit or committed.

The only carpenter work Roddick is gonna be doing is nailing his supermodel wife.

He does need to get in some kind of playing shape and show some fire though if he's gonna keep at it....he really doesn't look like he wants to be out there these days.

Ha! Wonderful. Roddick doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the top 30 if he loses like this to Denis Istomin  That 3 setter against Kudla really showed where his level is at. Very low.

Don`t be that insolent when you make reference to Miloslav Mecir please :drink:

This is a great week for Istomin who plays great tennis and is one of the guys who is out there who didn`t win a title yet that clearly has the weapons to do it.

His unprofessional behavior towards umpires, ball boys, and his opponents at times may have something to do with it.
