To be honest, Bogomolov's ranking attests a current crisis in men's tennis in positions 30-50. The guy shouldn't have entered Top 50. Think that players like Carlsen or Arthurs never advanced to the Top 40...

I've no idea how the guy got his ranking, but Bogomolov totally sucks!

Still, good job, Richie!

What attests more of a current crisis for me after rank 24, or even after rank 8, is the age of the players at some ranks : I'm amazed by the poor rankings of the players of generations 87(except Djoko-Murray) and following ones, and the good rankings of old generations (83 and before)

... and the worst part is that I compilate the ranks of the players at each of their birthday, and each generation seems worse than the previous one at the same age ... except generation 92 with Tomic, Harrison, Marti, Kudla, Duckworth, Mitchell and many others ... which is an exception among the young generations but not at all comparing to old generations.

I think it's a catastrophe for the future of tennis, and it would be even worse if tennis used a 2-year ranking system as the current top-guys ask (except Fed)

Couldn't agree more with you guys. I've said it ever since he entered the top 50 last year and I'll say it again, he's the worst top 50 player I've ever seen in my life.

wow. Never realised - that is seriously surprising, especially ol' Wayne. yeh, they were both far better than Bogo. I guess at least he's aggressive and goes for his shots, so decent when on, but just sprays errors and looks seriously average most of the time.

It's between him and Young for me but at least Donald can improve (assuming he goes back to the USTA eventually). It looks like Bogo has turned back into a pumpkin. He's done nothing in 2012 but have the Russians wondering why they wanted him to claim him so badly.

I wouldn't say they wanted him, he just decided to switch, and they gave him a spot on DC squad - it was joke anyway with Kunitsyn, and the rest injured.
