Fully expected. Nothing else to say. Good serving and taking all of the big points when needed. Was also up 5-2 in the 2nd set, but served it out on the second try comfortably.

Baghdatis/Dodig next, I am expecting another win...

He can be Top 40 this year easily if he keeps up this form.:bounce:

Lacko has had a pretty good start to the year with defeating Donald Young in the 2nd round of the AO still clearly being the highlight.

Yeah, 3 threads :-) He has probably a solid fanbase. His play is attractive and this win was expected. Lukas told for national media, that he is confident to beat Haase and yeah, Lukas was also talking about knee injury yesterday, but it´s all about his confidence right now. When he is on, he is tough to beat. I fully expect him to win also the next match (Dodig/Baghdatis). Final would be potentially a bigger test vs. Youzhny/Melzer/Karlovic. That said, I would take that final for now, Lukas will have a great season.

Expected result indeed. Lacko has been doing rather fine lately, whereas Haase seems to still be stuck in a (mental?) hole.
Very nice for Lukas, hope the cutie will have a great season coming up. :)

Did you know what made him play better tennis this year? Did he improved his fitness or it was just a matter of confidance?

Fitness during off-season and confidence booster at AO as well are main reasons. :)

This. And one of the main reasons is a new coach Matej Liptak. Progress started immediately with him. (from September 2011 or so...)

Great week for Lacko. I agree with you Karin that at this present time Lacko is a better player than Haase which isn`t an unexpected result (this isn`t Robin`t best present). Now Lukas is going to find a real hard bone on Baghdatis.
