This thread is back again and will be open to around 27th December and you are allowed to include either active or retired players.

So this means any player who is currently active on the ATP can be voted. If voters want to give reasons, then that's cool, if not, then they don't have to.

Here is how the points will be distributed.

#1 = 10
#2 = 9
#3 = 8
#4 = 7
#5 = 6
#6 = 5
#7= 4
#8= 3
#9 = 2
#10= 1

Voting for the same player 10x will only count as 1 vote. Also at least 5 players should be named or it won't be counted., no that does not mean same person 5 times

If you want to vote for the Bryan Bros and people will for sure. They will get the same points. Example if they are 1st both will get 10 points and the next one will get 8 points.

Reasons will make it more interesting to read, but not needed and no changing of votes.

No changing votes or only allowed to vote once.

1. Nadal: a potential GOAT contender who plays some of the ugliest tennis ever seen. Those fake injuries have worsened over the years . He never loses a match unless he is injured, FACT ;). All in all he is a player youngsters should never imitate.

2. Puerta: Mariano Puerta the drug lord who cheated his way to a major final. Davydenko should have reached that final . He embarrassed the sport that we all love and enjoy. For that he goes into the hatebook.

3. Nalbandian. Nalbandian aka the burger king. This man is one of the cleanest strikers of the ball. His phobia of going to the gym has seen him waste his huge potential. He clearly does not enjoy playing tennis, he would rather take part in the dakar rally or something. For his lack of effort and misuse of his talent this man deserves to be hated.

4. Tomic. Few players have been hated by almost every MTF poster. Tomic is one of those that unite all of MTF in hate. This man is already proclaiming to be Jesus himself. His arrogance makes Federer seem like the Humble King. Watching him play is on par with watching an Uwe Boll film, painful stuff. I'm sure he will collect many more haters, he will be the GOAT of hate collecting for sure.

5. Feliciano Lopez. Renamed Deliciano by Judy Murray. This pretty boy should not be allowed anywhere near a tennis court. He should stick to modelling. His lack of fight when up against superior players is shocking and that backhand of his borders on the criminal for a professional tennis player.

Simon Reed does not qualify but I will throw him in there. The master of jinxing. Players beware, avoid praise by this man at any cost . This man writes what can only be described as utter garbage. For a so called professional his insight into the game can only be described as shockingly poor. I rest my case.

He's a hardcore Del Potro hater, because he just hits the ball very hard with one pace. He probably hates Nadal's moonballing and defensive game but appreciates that he's developed a slice and plays with different paces and more variety than Del Potro.

Then why does he hate Feli he plays attacking tennis and has a great slice backhand and other than Llodra and Karlovic he is the only other guy that serves and volleys.

Nadal tards have to be careful with the hate towards Fed, they are discovering themselves . In worst acceptable scenario Fed tards hate Rafa for negative H2H and plenty of taken slams, and only valid reason for Rafa tards to hate Fed is bitterness on his records and Goat status . I mean just fools wouldn't like the guy who every time pumps libido to their idol . But all these Fed records are to heavy pain to hide it

actually a good thinking but it's even more confusing then . They are still mad on untouchable Fed's records and at the same time suffer because their totem can't catch it . And then when every 10th time Jesus decides to show up their Rafito eats bagel and they have to deal with few more problems . With just hating Fed you have 999 other guys who can make you happy, with hating Fed and tarding Rafa just one guy can make you completely happy and you suffer heavily when he loses

But I only hate one player... Are you forcing me to become a blind hater?

I feel like a Buddhist monk just trying to peacefully protest for the liberation of Tibet, but because of a technicality, must also participate in a riot and help people pillage and break windows by throwing kittens at them.

This is not right. I am full of love for the game and the players, save for one evil one.

No player has managed to change my mind in the past 12 months, so here's my list, a copy from the list I posted in the same thread concerning 2011:

1. Ion Tiriac - Maffioso, thinks everything's for sale. And unfortunately, a lot indeed is.
2. Ilie Nastase - truly annoying, served his nick 'Nasty' very well indeed
3. Michael Chang - yep, your victories have nothing to do with talent, hard working, and not to forget, a good dose of LUCK - it's all due to a "god" loving you more than your opponent. Lucky bum, having such a god behind him. And that with a terrible, boring,-inducing playing style. God - if he even exists - has no taste in tennis!
4. Marcello Rios - jerk, enough said. Great player though! :)
5. Mariano Puerta - doper, robbed poor Davydenko of a well-deserved GS final
6. Richard Krajicek - annoying one-dimensional player, big mouth as a player, even bigger mouth as a tournament director which doesn't do him any favours either
7. Marc Phillipousis - another one-dimensional serve-only 'player'. And apparently he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed either...
8. Dani Koellerer - psycho
9. André Agassi - 'image is everything'. Unfortunately, true. Everything was fake about this fellow! Rather enjoyed his biography, though. :)

Oh wait, a fresh entry:

10. Robin Haase - yet another annoying big-mouthing Dutchie who's incapable of backing up his words with his deeds. Should he manage to do well in Rotterdam, skip him from my list. ;)

Honorable Mentioning: Mats Trollander, for his sniffing-glue inspired commentaries. Oh wait, it was coke I presume.

Wonder if anyone else will be able to enter my personal Shit List this coming season. I've noticed a couple of candidates already, but they'll have to work a bit harder to make it. :p

I haven't anything against players who finished their careers, they are only valuable from the historical context.

1. Almagro - don't like his on-court behaviour and his face
2. Davydenko - don't like his game-style and the way he complains
3. Robredo - don't like his on-court behaviour
4. Ferrero - simply don't like him without any reason
5. Tursunov - don't like his game-style and on-court behaviour
6. Roddick - I'm annoyed with his quarrels with umpires where he tries to be smart but looks like a moron
7. Bogomolov - stupid haircut, wrong clothes, boring game
8. Young - irritates me his skew cap and gold jewelry (I prefer silver)
9. Montanes - little dodger
10. De Voest - just awful in every respect

Honorable mention: Troicki - silly facial expression all the time, and disgusting manner of pushing racquet into armpit after every rally toweling the face

1. David Ferrer

Boring style - monotonous, robotic groundstrokes, no real weapons. Insanely overrated - constantly mentioned as an elite player despite collecting most of his ranking points in Mickey Mouse tournaments and always disappointing - or rather playing to his true level - in the big tournaments.

This.Major thing that keeping him at his current ranking is his constant stability, not too good, not too bad, just a little above average.

Why do so many people hate Tomic?

He has barely done anything so far in his career (he's still very young) and he already has such a legion of haters?

I think he has a nice game, with great room for improvement. He could be a great player in the future, depending on how he progresses.

Also, I'm surprised there are not more people voting for Raonic, Karlovic, Isner... in other threads, every player with a great serve as the basis of their game is labeled as a serve-bot, I thought they'd be more disliked.

It's more based on his image as a bad boy rather than watching his tennis. Which is disagreeable but there.

Nadal is the most disliked player? This forum voted him right up there? Out of literally 1000's of players, Nadal was picked? Unbelievable.

I think for most people voting its not so much disliking nadal but disliking some nadal fans on this forum. Picking at Nadal is the only way for these people to get to them.

No sane bunch of tennis fans would vote Nadal as # 1 disliked player.

There is a worst fanbase in Off Topic. Nadal isn't my number 1 disliked player or close to it, but there are more than enough reasons to dislike him and yes the fans help for sure.

You dislike the fans because you dislike the player

For every Rafatard there is an equal Fedtard, it all starts with liking or hating a player, and then you start to hate his nemisis and fans.

I have actually gained a little more respect for Rafa as a player since I registered here. His horrible fandom makes me wish he lost every single time he played though.

There are many reasons, some dislike his style of play, some dislike the timewasting, the fake humility, injury timeouts, sections of the fanbase definitely don't help things, but I wouldn't expect you to see that.

I can say my reason because I don't read that often : he's an image of violence in my eyes, to himself (and by his uncle) and to the others, including his game, his face when he plays, the nervous obsessive antics ...

I feel uneasy watching him on court (outside of court he looks to me like a handsome nice guy, only I don't like the strange thing he does with his eyebrows sometimes), one can even say it's like a physical allergy. Only Monica Seles ever gave me an impression similar to that ... but less, because she was much less powerful.

The style of play is secondary contrary to what some people think, who think that I should also dislike Ferrer if I dislike Nadal.

Ferrer looks like a "normal human who fights" in my eyes and I have huge respect for that, Nadal looks like a freak to me.

I know that when I say that Nadalfans get mad and get allergic to me  (many of them are good persons, not esp. in this forum but on other forums even more) or think that I lie, it's not "the real reason", that's why I don't say it often, but that's just the truth of my feelings

I've also read people allergic to Federer even though they hide that behind supposed "objective" arguments.

Besides, I try my best to understand the human Nadal. Thinking of what his uncle did to him is a good way for me to think better of him personally.

And I have his tennis in very high consideration, I even think that Nadal is more talented than Federer, I don't think his success is that much a matter of working, as his myth says, I think he would have been nearly the same player working "normally".

I am quite sick of this attitude, it's nothing but denial. Horrible fandom? This is complete bullshit, purported by the neverending majority on this forum. There have been plenty of posters here who are comparable to the most over the top Rafa fans. The Magician didn't get nearly as much shit as he would have if he was posting his nonsense about Federer. GlennMirnyi is a legend around here, everyone was up in arms about his banning, yet he trolled every thread he entered, much more so than Start da game, for example. Even right now we have samanosuke. A vile and hateful poster, not just towards Nadal but other members of the forum, yet most people find him hilarious. Why? Because he directs his hate at Nadal and Nadal fans, who are the minority. It is nothing but double standards and you are one of the chief offenders.

There are many reasons, some dislike his style of play, some dislike the timewasting, the fake humility, injury timeouts, sections of the fanbase definitely don't help things, but I wouldn't expect you to see that.

See ? The usual reaction I get ! No understanding whatsoever, I receive the same allergy I have for Nadal "now your opinion and discussion is completely worthless" : pure rejection !

... and even from people who have read my arguments and thoughts for long.

Is it impossible to admit that people can be able to have a rational argumentation AND in the meantime have feelings, which means emotions and irrational ?

My life is made of both of these as, I guess, the life of everyone here

One example of what emotions lead people to (in the thread about "who will win Monte-Carlo final ?") :

Djokovic. 6-2 6-3.

Here was my prediction : I think I was not that far from what happened

Nadull because :

- very windy tomorrow winds around 27 km/h

- Nole does not have a positive and relaxed mind considering what happened this week

This fake humility thing has always puzzled me. What is fake humility? Is being humble a conscious decision?

Speaking only for myself - I find Nadal very disingenuous. For example - against Djokovic in Monte Carlo, he was saying Djokovic is the favorite considering Djokovic has beat him 7x in a row even if Nadal is the greater player historically. But when playing against Federer, he would claim Federer is the favorite because he is the greater player bla blah despite the fact that he knows he owns Federer in their H2H.

Also, asking for a 2 year ranking system, quitting the council when he didn't get his way, continuous blatant disregard for the rules, arguing with umpires when they do implement the rules - these to me are all "non-humble" acts which is in stark contrast to how he presents himself in his interviews and other public relations. I like to think I can tell more about a player's attitude when he is on court, seeing how he treats his opponents (not making them wait, taking some inexplicable medical time outs when your opponent is ahead) than how he acts when he is in a more controlled situation, e.g. in an interview.

See what you want to see. Yes, I play Tursunov on clay and he is favourite, no. Classic example of fake humility, then the always injured when he loses. Just cause you can't see why there people that don't like Nadal or have their reasons for doing so. It's not different from Djokovic or Federer, except for the reasons.

Didn't know humble athletes take fake timeouts, stretch the gamesmanship big time, 2 year ranking. It's fine to do that, it's pro sport and within the rules but that's not humility.

Honestly, 6-2 6-3 was hardly a far fetched prediction. If the Djokovic from the final set against Berdych showed up, it may well have been reality. As it was, he barely showed up at all.

As you admit, this is quite irrational, baffling in fact. Of course people can put emotions aside and have a rational argument, that is the only way to have a worthwhile argument.

No idea how any of what I write is an excuse. I excuse no one's behaviour.

Notice how I didn't refute your other points, only that one. The others are all perfectly reasonable. This is one requires a leap in logic and a specific interpretation of events.

When did Rafa say Tursunov was the favourite? I must have missed that.

yes it's possible that's how people do, there are some die-hard fans in this forum who often have very interesting analyses, sometimes they even know better about their guy than others, that's why I'm often interested in reading them.

When did Rafa say Tursunov was the favourite? I must have missed that.

I don't remember him saying that about Tursunov but sometimes he said things which were clearly shocking like one day he was afraid of playing Rochus, that one I'm sure he said it once.

It's possible to "fake humility", however I've come to the conclusion like you that's not Nadal's case.

Although I like to mention that this behavior is not "natural" and comes from his uncle's constant education, which Nadal has said himself in his biography ... but people answer me that anyway we are always a product of our education : yes in a way ... but his uncle's education looks more like a "taming" to me, not like something which helped him to develop himself really, which is why I make the distinction.

You are right, they are banned. But you can't disagree that they behaved no worse than Start da Game, yet were nowhere near as marginalised as him. He is banned too, I believe. I'm sure I could give you 15 more names too.

The majority are Federer fans, understandably they get riled up by over the top Nadal fans. Thus the majority opinion becomes that Nadal has a terrible fanbase. I haven't seen any different behaviour from Djokovic's fans in the last twelve months than I saw from Nadal fans in 2010. The difference is, Federer fans are happy to see Djokovic beating Nadal.

I hate to discuss this, talking about fans and tards seems so pathetic. I'm just tired of the discrediting of an entire fanbase when they behave no differently than the rest and I frequently read you singling them out.

Poor Rosol. How dare he. No wonder everyone hates Rafatards. It sums it up how even though yesterday's result didn't involve their fave, they were the worst fans... again.

How dare you rob Davydenko of his only grand slam final with your f**king doping and cheating and god knows what would've happened in the final ... and i think his whole career would've been a lot better but ... i find consolation in the thing that at least in a parallel universe Davydenko had won that match.
2. Djokovic
I don't like his character (attention-seeker) but i kinda like him with his aggresive play (but he used it long long ages ago now he only defences and only counter-attacks the ball.)
3. Nadal
I don't like his playing style ... and with that on-court coaching and bu**-picking and such and time violations and such and such and such his bulls**tting every fu**ing match.
4. Ferrer
I don't like his playing style again but he doesn't have a choice with his size ... i don't care i don't like his tennis but he is a good person.
5. Tomic
Spoiled brat.
6. Rosol
Ballbasher of highest order.
7. Tipsarevic
Easy recognizable tennis tactics and hitting patterns - boring play. Character is too kinda meh...
8. Troicki
Everything in him is screaming mediocore.
9. Granollers
That grunt it is something made in hell coupled with such an ugly game - a mix from another dimension.
10. Haase
Mug.

Result shows how young is average MTF poster.First 13 are active players and Wilander is probably in top 20 because of his TV shows, not because what he did as pro player.Lendl outside of top 100 is amazing result, noone could stand him when he was player, he was such a prick !.Courier at least made it into top 100...

Nadal being at #1..... :o .... like this list is titled "most courteous and vague tennis players around"

remarkable that a player who has spent his whole career almost TOO MUCH trying to be nice and unoffensive, has offended/annoyed so many players. I guess you all don't like the way he places his water bottles and grabs his shorts, what the hell

Nadal being at #1..... :o .... like this list is titled "most courteous and vague tennis players around"

remarkable that a player who has spent his whole career almost TOO MUCH trying to be nice and unoffensive, has offended/annoyed so many players. I guess you all don't like the way he places his water bottles and grabs his shorts, what the hellAnd also how he intentionally wastes time, takes tactical MTOs, has unappealing technique, whines about court surfaces & ranking system, is a poor loser and seemingly cannot lose when healthy.

Glad to be of help.
