Murray will win Roland Garros, so they'd better do it fast

Independence isn't going to happen and if it miraculously does it won't last long.

Independence? :haha: Not gonna happen. Murray will win a major though, hopefully this year.

They'd import it from Scotland.

Not sure why we're discussing politics but as I reside in Scotland, well for another 2 years before I emigrate to Aus or Far East, Murray will win a slam before the slime ball politicians ever winning a vote to seperate Scotland from the UK which would mean disaster.

Neither ... and I say that as a Scotsman.

Independence will lose by one vote in the referendum, the same day that Murray loses after wasting MP in Wimbly final.

I think the end of the world is likely to come before both of these events.

A grand slam winning Murray will be the slight ticking off of some people. An independent Scotland will be the death of us all.

Vamos Scotland

You can laugh all you want but Fact remains plain and simple. He has the talent to win the Grand Slam. When he fixes his temperament he will win.

Independent Scotland? How are they supposed to fund themselves? Sell whisky to me? I don't drink that much. Only when Nadal wins a slam.

Besides I thought Murray would be upgraded from Scottish to full Englishman if he ever won a slam. Right now he's probably at 65%-70% on the scale. They want him a little bit but if he fails they can still abandon him and lock him up in Scotland again

The SNP have promised that if they win independence Andy Murray will get to face Andy Roddick in a GS Final. Empty promise:scratch:

Oil, however we'll have to see if the UK government lets and Independent Scotland keep all the oil receipts. I doubt they would and then there is also the small matter of RBS and HBOS.

On the other hand I think Independence will happen before Muzza wins a slam.

Murray's girlfriend is English. Is there any chance he becomes English instead of Scottish if independence does happen during his playing career. Would be interesting to see.

The Scots don't want full independence. There will be more devolution but definitely no independence. I have a feeling that Andy will win a slam in the next two years so I voted for him :).

I sincerely hope Scots don't go for full independence, it's always a sad failure for everybody involved when peoples who have shared a country for so long break apart. Today's world is in need of examples of better integration, not of yet more frontiers separating people.

Sean Connery knows best--a free Scotland and an end to colonialism. Poor Murray, doesn't know who he is--Helsinki syndrome?

If you're a Scotsman, there's no such thing as an upgrade.

How on earth could he become English? There is precisely zero chance of him not calling himself Scottish in the event of independence.

At this moment, Murray is a far bigger threat to Nole than Nadal is. That says a little about Murrays quality. He should not be underestimated. I think, that Murray has more a mental block against Nadal and Roger, than he has with Nole. Thats why he is closer to beating Nole than the other two guys. Maybe because they grew up together, and are good friends. So he is thinking if my childhood mate can do it, so can I... So he has it a bit easier against Nole...

The biggest problem with Scottish independence is that it would condemn England to never ending conservative rule...

Hopefully Andy murray wins a couple of slams first and then Scotland regains independence. What will be interesting is what happens to the Davis Cup team after/if Scotland becomes Independent.

P.S Without turning this thread political MAxpower you absolute idiot "how will Scotland fund itself" Scotland Is richer on a per capita basis than the Uk as a whole.

P.P.S Anyone who lives in Scotland and will emigrate after independence... Good riddance
