Comparision between hord courts: DecoTurf vs. Plexicushion vs. Rebound Ace

I've been wondering what are the differences between different hard court surfaces. What are the differences between DecoTurf, Plexicushion, and Rebound Ace? And what are they like compared to grass and clay? Or is it almost from players' perspective nowadays that Grass=DecoTurf=Plexicushion=Clay?

Rebound Ace is fastest. Decoturf used to be the fastest pre-2011 but they slowed the USO down.

Actually, Rebound Ace was a beautiful fast hardcourt surface, but the colour somehow didn't work well - it was quite bright.

Plexicushion looks wonderful and spectacular, but it is surely the slowest out of them all. They have to speed it up a bit, it makes the game longer, tougher and even boring sometimes.

The worst thing was slowing America's DecoTurf! I still can't believe they did it! I absolutely adored that fast surface and it was a pleasure watching players whacking that ball all around. Now, it's really useless. I wish they would speed it up again. Really.

Indian Well's surface is Plexipave and Miami's Laykold. What are those like compared to other hard court surfaces?

They are the slowest possible hard court.

(not sure about Rebound Ace being faster than plexicushion, but the bounce was higher for sure.)

Miami is the death of tennis. Can't get any slower than that.

As for AO, I think the balls are as important as the surface. In the Federer Nadal match it was preatty obvious that when they had new balls Fed was dominating while Nadal had the upper hand when the balls got used.

I liked Rebound Ace but things got a little sticky when temperatures got ridiculously high. It was a surface that produced good tennis.

It was faster for sure. Look at the 2007 AO results. Would Gonzo hit 43 W and 3 UEs in a match now?

He was a freak thats sure, surely balls are heavier now and it's tougher to create pace.

Decoturf is obviously much faster than what Rebound Ace was. No question

Plexicushion is similar to the Rebound Ace surface.

You're joking, right? :o
