I mean a 6 foot tall Oliver Rochus would be a great champion, it's really too bad. all the talent but the height holds him back.

Ferrer is looking in devastating form, even better than at last year's Auckland and also appears to be moving fantastically. I already was expecting him to go deep in Australia but maybe more eyes will be on him after his great form in winning Auckland for the third time!!

Totally agree Oliver got some of the best talent out there, but he can't fufill it with his height :sobbing:

Ironically his height probably has something to do with it. It is just so much easier to serve out a match when you can hit big serves, which is not common when you're 5'4".

If Rochus was around 6'1 or 6'2 he would be a top 10 player easily.

David was by far the best player in the draw, so he was obviously going to win this. Never in doubt, to be honest.

What a great week for Ollie, too. Showed some fantastic matches. What a resilience. Like others have said before me, who knows how his career would have developped if only he were a couple of inches taller.

I have to admit that with Ferrer's style of play, I predicted back in 2005-2006 that I couldn't see him continuing to be overly successful into his late 20s, but boy has he proven me wrong, and it's nice to see him continuing to rack up titles.

Ferrer has the be the most boring top 10 player in the history of the game. He is a chore to watch. Hey David a little variety here and there wouldn't do a miss.

I wish players were more honest about this. It seems like every tournament they go to, it's their favorite place. For once, I want to hear, "eh, the place is shit."

But players will hardly feel downbeat and in a whiny mood after a triumph. When you win everything seems to be perfect.
