"Child bearing hips"

Was watching the Labadze/Costa match and the two commentators (English, don't know their names) starting talking about how big Labadze was. They said he was built very solid and joked that the ATP stat of his weight was way too light. Then one of the guys repeated what a big guy he was and said that Labadze had "child bearing hips."

I almost fell off the couch laughing at that one. :bigclap:

The commentators were John Barrett and Jason Goodall. Jason said Irakli had child-bearing hips, to which John replied that he wouldn't tell Irakli that.

You think the ‘child bearing hips’ comment is bad.

The other day I heard no less than 4 comments from those 2 about players who were stunning/beautiful specimens – sure he was talking about Haas at that point.
They mentioned someone’s lovely 6-pack as well.

Wow, are you sure that Jim Courier wasn't in the booth with them.

What match? what tournament?? It could've been Geoff Grant too, who knows?

I think it was the other week in Vienna when John Barrett and Jason Goodall were commentating on EuroSport.

Mind you Petch on SKY Sports comes out with some great lines. He was telling a story about an excuse an Umpire had made (Wimbledon I think, dont know the yr) Anyway the UMP, whoever it was had said something along the lines of.... yes it was out, I know it was out, I replayed the shot in my mind!

I wish I could remember half of what the commentators come up with, would make a great commentators comments thread :)

Yeah, it would be great to have that kind of thread! :yeah:

I was listening and then they said the child bearing comment. It was funny to know that kind of info.

I remember that, during a Federer-Agassi match, one of the commentators said he liked looking into his eyes, it was beautiful or something like that. It was funny. :) I'll find the tape and let you know what he said exactly.

Yeah I should perhaps listen more to the commentators when they start droning on. On the other hand their spiel can produce some interesting player facts Some comments are just disturbing though :haha:

Get that Commentators Comments thread into action Roger-No.1 :D
