wowwwwww what a nice dayyyyy in heilbronn.. i must say its a nice location.. when i was there,2nd set tie break of brown/zovko vs russell/VDM just started.brown played very aggressive.zovko nothing special. van der merwe and russell didnt care so much about it i think.. i saw evgeny donskoy coming to the tennis center.he looks really like a little kid. i didnt say anything to him.i met van der merwe and russell when i was walking around.but i dont like both and because of them didnt say anything to these guys. we were eating with my friend at restaurant village.every people which was there had big cars and looked like rich people imo. we went to the center court for cheering grega zemlja against phau.i told my friend 10times that its not a good idea to back zemlja but he said we need adrenalin.. we got fucked with zemlja, because phau played so great.every ball he brings back, his backhand works great.his forehand is not special but like i said backhand so great..zemlja didnt play bad but after the match he said to me that it was not his day.i saw him after match in racket center,he did something with his racket. i saw zemlja had a really little pocket hahaha.. i saw brown in a pizzaria after his doubles match with 2 guys but didnt go to him. i really wanted a photo with him, maybe tomorrow.we will see. i also saw donskoy in the pizzaria, saw charroin. ok back to phau-zemlja.2nd set zemlja had 0-40 because of 2 df from phau( his serve didnt work 2nd set). but zemlja missed that 3 and one more in same game. there were some calls which was not normal for me..deserved win for phau which will meet marsel tomorrow. the highlight of the evening for sure was marsel-hajek. before match i saw marsel and can üner in their way to the court and i got autogramm from marsel but he looked nervous and tired for me. marsel started with really good serves, hajek too. but like always my man lost his serve suddenly and his rhythm. he fought back and had really momemtum on his side until 6-3 in tb. hajek hold his serves and made a great point for 6-6 and ilhan lost after that his serve again and hajek served out. after an ace from hajek i noticed that marsel swears in turkish.. can üner looked nervous too but then suddenly he raised his level, forehand worked great and he improved his slice and his dropshots for sure..he won the 2nd easy and the 3rd like we expected was easy too. hajek wasnt injured.he faked this because of marsels momentum and marsel after that saved some bp.. and that serve at bp was let for sure,i heard that. than hajek went to umpire was so angry and hit 2 times hard with his racket the net.. ilhan finished then easyl. after match we went to the court to can üner.i asked him and he said come to me guys.we made fotos with can üner and i asked him if ilhan can join to us for fotos.marsel comes and the guy before match i met,was another. i said to marsel if you would not win,i would never ask you for foto or talk..he laughed about that..:D he was cool.i must say his coach is a great person. talking so much with us,he asked from where we come to the center,we said we come from 100km to heilbronn. he was proud about that.marsel said that he will come in summer to atp stuttgart, pls come and cheer for me there too..we made lot of fotos with can üner and marsel. there was a guy which is owner from a tennis-school in heilbronn,he said to us come wednesday again,i will buy your tickets for you,and tickets are 30euro tomorrow  i walked on the center court, was a nice feeling.then we went inside from center i asked coach how ilhan lost to a only serve player like delic in ao and he said: delic was atp rank 60 some years ago and he lost to andreev very hard few weeks ago..but for me still unacceptable that marsel lost to only serve delic,ok forget it. i said to coach that marsel improved slice and drops and he said marsel playing good he must go to net sometimes he said to me. coach also said we know phau we can beat him. and next event in zagreb can üner hopes to get in directly.he says with 2-3 withdrawal he can get in directly and after that is davis cup. like i said, coach and ilhan are really good and friendly man. they are both really cool.that was my report from heilbronn. tomorrow i will go again probably. sorry for my bad english

i would not make fotos and would not want talk because i would think he have bad moral and did not want fotos or something,ok?but i dont want that you understand this.and i would normally never ask his coach about that match at ao. you know why asked him? because he is a really correct man which give every question an answer and we got along very well. go and make better reports when you visit a challenger in france or where you want

I already did.

Your question about Delic was disrespectful, it sounds like "hey, you really suck losing against a piece of crap like Delic !". Now I hope you realized that challenger players deserve more respect than insults.

Martin Klizan really pleased me with his performance. He was so solid on second serve and played very patient.

For those who know his game, and know that these are factors keeping him outside top100 and he is maybe finally concentrating on them.

I mean such a good news ! Really good win against Gilles Muller at indoor hardcourt tournament :)

RonaldGomez, I don't really think he was thinking this way, give him a break.

it was really only a question to him, like i said for me ilhan cannot lose to delic normally.and when i was talking with his coach,i just wanted to ask the right person how that happened to him.i know i am always angry with losing tickets but that question had nothing to do with betting.but gomez is maybe a complicated person which think about other reasons.anyway, i cannot go on wednesday because of work but if i go friday,i will not write one question about that event here as report.

man whats your problem? i didn´t say anything about aces or something. his best shot is his serve, must not be an ace. serve and volley player he is.i watched him many times. the classic serve&volley player.he has a bad return+backhand+forehand are also not so much special for me.

Very strange ending. Becker had cramps, forfeits a game to get treated at 5-5 (didn't even know thatwas possible) and after that retires. Too bad. But he just got back and probably needs more matches and fitness.

I don't have any problem. I actually appreciate the reports, but you said it yourself... he might be a S&V player, but having a good serve doesn't make you an only-serve player. It's okay nonetheless, enough off-topic for now.

Well, I have seen that Klizan match. He was solid, but Zverev was tough to break. This match was almost all about serve, Martin was also serving really really well. He saved couple of BPs, everytime with an ace in 2nd set. In the tiebreak, he was down 3-6, but came back and then Zverev started to be nervous and made some decisive UEs. Solid match from Martin, but space to improving especially on the return. Phau next.

01-27-2012, 02:45 PM
Yes, Stebe got a bit lucky in the end but he played really well to get to 4-5 in the 3rd at first. That was indoor tennis as you would want it. Shame these two had to meet this early.
And if Stebe goes on to win this tournament, then he gets my full credit (actually I really like him already :D), I mean to deal with Greul, Becker, Berrer, Pospisil/Bemelmans and then Phau/Meffert in an indoor tournament is really tough (where I'd rate his R2 and QF more difficult than SF and F).

Now looking forward to a great QF this evening between two of my favourite Germans in Stebe and Berrer.

Well, in his two MD matches he simply choked. That happens, esp if you're not really experienced (I mean it was his 2nd GS match against Hewitt). But his loss to Reynolds in Sydney was bad.
Let's see how he does next week in Montpellier which also has a strong field and indoors isn't Cedrik's best surface actually.

Really tough tournament. The SF line up is really good. Stebe looks like the favourite to win here with fantastic victories over Greul, Becker and Berrer. Now has another tough SF clash with Bemelmans who also didn't have easy matches either against Donskoy, Knittel and Pospisil. I reckon that Stebe has a slice advantage to win that SF match.
On the upper side of the draw Phau got some good victories like the ones over Zemlja and Klizan. Meffert had it a bit easier against Golubev and de Voest.

Stebe looks as one of the best players on the CH tour and good enough for them but he will need some time until he can get use to play with ATP players. He may suffer some defeats in the following months but he will make it.
