Okay, let's not talk about Federer because I think we all can agree he's still one of the big guns, but besides him, who of the "Ex bigs" can win something in 2012?

With something I mean, something, whatever it would be...
Can Ferrero win some clay titles?
Roddick? Show the world he's not done and win some HC titles?

Tomic is an oldie?

Marky my words, Roddick will be a real threat at Delray Beach. He is also going to go deep at Regions Morgan Keegan at Memphis. Some points to defend there.

Roddick can always grab another title at a minor US hard court tournament, and I think Juanca can have chances at some of the post-Wimbledon clay events, since he very likely won't make the Olympics.

None of them will win anything beyond 250 event.

Memphis is 500. Roddick will take it for sure.

Why is Tomic included?

And are we talking Masters and slams? Roddick can still probably eek out a Masters if things went his way. That's pretty much it, IMO.

Sadly, cant see any of these guys doing anything big. I would like to see Roddick prove everyone wrong and have a good run this season, but just dont see it. His game is in tatters. Hewii is perennially injured, Ferrero is washed up and Nalbandian just wont do anything big, as he hardly ever has even in his peak.
Its ironic that the one guy holding fort for these "oldies" is the guy who played and won more than most of these guys put together!:worship:

By the way, Tomic?

Ah, I geddit.:D

Some small 250 maybe can all 4 of them with some lucky draw and if any of top gyus won´t play there. Roddick can win some small US HC event, Ferrero some 250 clay event, probably after Wimby when nobody from good player will be there-olympics or either playing HC events instead of clay. Hewitt and Nalbandian have lesser chances than Roddick or Ferrero, they all all the time injured or just have no seeding so somebody from highest seeded players even on small events will take them down early.

And BTW i don´t think Roddick can win Memphis, he was lucky to last year survive Raonic there, if Raonic will be defending his points there he will beat him this time and also maybe somebody from top 10 if will show there can beat him and don´t forget Isner who was playing crap last season in 1st half. Roddick is not anymore the better server among these guys and Memphis is fast indoor HC, Raonic or Isner will simply outserve him easily if they met in Memphis.

I would say Ferrero. He's been good more recently than any of the others. And Hewitt can still beat anyone if his body can hold together for a whole week.

I'm pretty sure nobody wants to face Nalby or Hewitt in the R1, they could be very dangereous.
But you marked the point. I don't think they could be in a great leve for a whole wee.

Ferrerro and Hewitt are the only ones I want to do well. The rest can retire :)
