Chennai QF: Soeda def. Wawrinka 64 64

The last two games from Stan were really poor.
Error after error.
From time to time he has huge problems against players who are solid in defense and who are able to make only a few unforced errors.
On a good day he can outplay them,
but on a bad day he just don't know what to do...

just completely embarrassing:o

to lose and in the way that he did to a player like soeda is just awful

it was a terrible 2nd set and match in general, stan could barely hold serve. You know your playing crap when you cant hold against soeda

It was a tank IMHO. Stanislas played like he just wouldn't like to be on the court today.

Didn't watch this, so I apologize in advance should it turn out that Wawrinka is the next one on his way to the hospital's emergency booth. :o

What an embarrassing result indeed. You'd think that players like Wawa would give it their all at MM tournaments like Chennai, as that's where they can rack up their points and trophy count...

just awful stuff, stan should be embarrassed.

7 consecutive breaks of serve in that 2nd set before it was over

soeda in an atp sf just doesnt seem right

Hahahaha, where is flyboy, where is flyboy? Wawrinka is a disgrace to the top 30, and this loss plus AO will put him out of it.

Stan clearly too worried for Rog

Stan looked injured. He was serving about 80mph. Took an MTO after either the fifth or seventh game of second set. Also had MOT v ERV.

Couldn't see what was wrong but it was most likely something in his shoulder given serving issues

Damn. The body count right at the start of the 2012 season is getting ridiculously high by now.

It's a bit of a relief to hear that Wawrinka wasn't 100% in this. This is just a bad result if he's healthy. He had enough of those last year.

are u kidding how is this not good ? do u want tennis to be a predictable mess like it has been the last 7 years ?
im happy soeda finally stepped it up and is playing well, ebden and kei did the same thing last year
sugita is doing the same thing atm

comparing soeda to kei and matthew is rediculous considering that both of them have more entertaining and effective games

do you want tennis to be full of players making deep runs once in and then disappearing for the next 6 months? because we've seen enough of those players come along already

you have to be in it to win or lose it, so well done to Soeda even if it's not what nature intended :P

yes its what i want, its always the same old players week in and week out,i wanna see upsets
and soeda game is as fun to watch as ebden so no idea what your on about there ?

and soeda game is as fun to watch as ebden so no idea what your on about there ?

so instead of seeing players perform on a consistant basis you would rather we have a load of players come in, make a deep run in one or 2 tournaments and then do little to nothing for the rest of the year? yes, that sounds fun

and no, its really not

im not saying i want the same thing all the time, it gets boring but its not good for the game either when a bunch of one or 2 tournament wonders start showing up. If go soeda does anything else at any tournament this year i'd be surprised.

you look at raonic, ebden, goffin or tomic who are new and its nice to see these new players rise up and they've got the game to be consistent on the atp go soeda doesnt

Too bad..but it´s not like Stan has produced anything better than this for several months now. Lundgren was smart to leave the sinking ship.
