Serious candidate for the AO. But we've seen this movie before.
Murray in slams vs Fed, Nadal or Nole is a bending over machine.

Baggy gave the match away to his good friend :o

Well done Andy. Breathing too heavily for my liking but a very handy display nonetheless :yeah:

This is turning into a fairly decent preparation for Murray for the Aus Open.
Though honestly we all know in slams, preparation is really not the problem for Andy

Who's crying? Mugray looks to be in devastating form. I'd say he'll finally win one set in a slam final this year :yeah:

lets not go overboard. Baghdatis clearly was far from his best, if anything this might get Andy false confidence. It's not as though Brisbane has some fantastic field, it's pretty weak next to Doha's.

I'm not convinced at all, struggling against some nobody's and then a convincing win over a poor Baghdatis. I would say that Tomic and Dolgopolov has looked as impressive as Murray so far this tournament

Brilliant first set.

No need to get too excited, Baggy was decidedly mediocre today. Didn't even look like he had an intentions of winning today - textbook example of going through the motions.

yeah weird? maybe he felt uncomfortable with really 'getting into it' since him and Murray just lost in doubles. I don't know.

According to the BBC he "Stormed into the semi-finals".

Sounds rather dramatic.

I know it's Baghdatis, but I expected a tougher match.

He even did a tweener!

He did one vs Muller too when the second set was pretty tight. So glad to see that's catching on

Glad he won though - and comfortably. Baggy has given him headaches in the past (and may in the future)

In the battle of counterpounchers Murray is much better than Marcos and the scoreline clearly shows it.

Murray clearly outpowered baggy with his shots, the 161 km/h backhand in the first point of the match summed it up.

Standard Clydey post after a Murray win.

Too big from the thickest legs since Karelin.

I kept thinking about cold Murray was in dispatching his doubles partner, so knifing seemed appropriate.:D

Cool tournament organisers at Brisbane put the whole match on youtube :)

Andy - so unpredictable, just when he's looking a bit sloppy he pulls this out of the bag...

@15.10 for a ridiculous failed attempt by Andy at a through the legs shot from the baseline

@1.00.52 for the point of the match where Andy pulled off the tweener
