im just on the madrid site now trying to get some live scores and the live scoreboard is abolsutely useless. it doesnt even tell u who is serving!

why on earth would they get rid on those really good soreboards that they seemed to have for all of the masters series events and replace them with poorly designed cheapo ones?????????????????

I don't think Madrid or Bercy normally have the standard TMS scoreboard. I guess it will be back for the TMC though.

yes, jtipson, that's right I guess.... also Hamburg TMS doesn't have the "good scoreboard" as most other TMS events (especially those in the US)

I beleive the tournaments are free to choose whether or not to use the 'standard' TMS template for their websites and scoreboards or not, and I wish they all would. Miami's scoreboard is different and its not the best. The standard TMS board is great becuase it also has match statistics. The Madrid scoreboard is good... for me to poop on!

TRIUMPH! :worship:

the scoring that a lot of the TMS events (and some of the other ATP events, I think Memphis and maybe some other) use is from the ATP itself, no? Why can't it just provide it for all the tournaments? :(

that's my main issue with it.... doesn't have to be fancy, but if you don't know who is serving it's hard to tell what's really going on.

This time is diferent. You can win a trip to Madrid 2005, and a model will be waiting for u. I asked if they can change the model for Tommy Robredo

well from what i think i know... scoring and stats are run by an outside company (i know at least one that's headquartered in jacksonville, fl that has staff in different countries) if a tourney wants those to be pumped real time to a scoreboard on a website, they have to pay extra. it's as simple as that, money. that's the only reason i know why the sydney tourney website no longer has live scores.

yup go ahead and complain, i beg of you!!!! lol... people who run tourneys don't seem to understand what their websites mean to fans

What, you mean you don't like to sit and try to guess if someone's got a break point or a game point in their first serve game or something? C'mon, Q, did you forget how to have fun?? ;)

It'd just be nice if the ATP could standardize all ATP tournaments. I don't think it's THAT much to ask.

If the ATP got together and paid for the live scoring, wouldn't it be cheaper standardized?
