Hey, JC! Ask Andre how to use HEAD raquects ...
Make haircut (to 0) then you will play almost like AA...

Looks like it Alfonso. He's still on the Prince website, but its the weekend and I suspect no one is there to update it. Looks like Head just took his Prince racquets, blacked out the paint, and gave him a new stencil. I bet he won't really start using Head racquets until next season when he's had some time to work with them and get a frame made his way. Very intersting. Makes me wonder if Coria will come back on the tour with a new racquet too.

that can't possibly be legal!

I like the hair though :D but he really needs to put on some weight, he looks so frail

It is. Head and Prince both win if they do so. Check the shape of the head of the racket he's using... thats def a prince.

Whether it's legal or not, it's not exactly uncommon. :p

Robredo's legs look great :yeah:

Ferrero's are skinny, but he's still :yeah:

i disagree. it's quite uncommon for pros to be caught playing with a racket that they are not contracted to play with. i'm sure that Prince is not amused.

he looks like any other guy with the darker hair. the blonde makes him look better IMO.

Chloe le Bopper

I probably shouldn't have used that wording, since I didn't mean to imply it was common. I just meant that it's not exactly unheard of. Not that this makes it okay.

I think Ferrero looks better as a blonde too. I'm just happy to see him on court without any bandages :p

Definitely won't be his racquet since the one he uses has a cross bar.

I think this is all Marat's doing. :smash:

How does prince win? Call it the future lawyer in me but I just don't see how it could be legal. Maybe in Spain under their law it's ok ;)

But it doesn't matter, I just find it curious. now JC just needs to win a few matches here and everything will be ok :)

It looks to me like there is a cross bar on that racquet, its just hard to see because of the lights and the shadows.

As for the legality of it, if his contract with Prince is over, there isn't squat they can do about it. The black paintjob has removed all Prince markings and the casual fan will only recognize the stencil on the strings (if even that much). If Head has signed JCF to a new contract, they probably have an understanding with him that he will not actually switch racquets until the season is over and he has time to work with them on a design that suits his needs. I once read a post on another board that Mardy Fish is not actually playing with a Dunlop, but an old Wilson model that Dunlop agreed to put a paintjob on. I find that hard to believe and I think that post was soundly disputed. Anyway, racquets are very important tools for tennis players, they take forever to get them the way they want them and it would take almost as long to convince me that any player would switch during the season.

It's not a head racquet. Its just the exact same prince he's been using with another paintjob and the head logo on its strings.

Actually, the player wins cos he has two contracts with two diferent brands of rackets. Prince provides de racquets and Head the brand.
Legal or not, he's gonna do that :p

Oh and as for the hair color... ew it sucks, dye it blonde Juanqui! ;)

No way JCF has two contracts with two racquet companies. It's a blacked out Prince racquet with a Head logo painted on the strings to make people think he's playing with a Head racquet. Flip is also playing with a blacked out racquet since he doesn't have ANY contract at all, just like Amy Frazier. I'm sure JCF had enough leftover racquets at home to get him through the rest of the season and he doesn't need to go begging to Prince for more frames.

Ack true. Too many stenciling and stuff going on.:retard: Though if he's stenciling it and has it painted like a head racquet, I'm sure the real thing isn't too far behind.;)

Safin used his PC600 when he moved to Dunlop and Dunlop got into ALOT of trouble for doing it.

That is definetly a Prince racket and he will most likely use the LM Fire paintjob on his POG LB as it has the cross bar stabilizer.

Simple really.

And, besides, from Elmundodeporte:

Finalmente, Juan Carlos Ferrero, que ha firmado un contrato con la marca deportiva 'Head', espera que su nueva raqueta también le ayude a volver a estar entre los mejores. "Tengo más control con ella y me ayuda en el saque para golpear con menos esfuerzo. Además, me permite pegar con más potencia", aclaró.
