It's depressing that he reached a final? Surely you must be kidding. It's great that he was able to reach a final after the Bronx and US Open fiascos :worship: :worship: :worship:

wow, the French did very well this week in Metz!
much better than to the disappointment in Lyon last week...

This title is pretty huge for Haehnel, a guy who has virtually disappeared since his Agassi upset in Roland Garros this year.

Metz is a small tournament !!! There were 15 french players in the draw of 32 players, it means a lot... and Richard beat Van Scheppingen, Dupuis, Monfils and Morrison, it's not a big performance !
Don't believe that I don't like Richard, in the contrary, but I'm fatalist, and I'm nervous to see that all the french players have the same way: they're good in junior, they're always wold champions, but never confirm after.
And I saw the final, I can have an opinion.

I see!
I thought that there was something funny or unbelievable that Gasquet did in this match and that this was the reason why you were laughing...

I had written Haehnel off and assumed Gasquet would win. My mistake. I was half heartedly rooting for Haehnel anyways, so YAY him.

Silverwhite: at the Bronx challenger, he withdrew for no reason after getting a couple of warning. He was pissed off and abandonned. And at the US Open, he got disqualified, I'm sure most know the story. He seems to feel the pressure lately and he sorted of exploded on more than one occasion recently.

Even if Metz is a small tournement, it's positive that he was able to win a couple of match (as a WC), regardless of who he played against.

At the French Open, they said that Haehnel didn't like to fly.

Is it that or is he scared of flying?
