Nicknames that players have for each other

Im sure there have been threads about fan nicknames for players, but what about nicknames players have amongst themselves. at RG 2004, I heard one player refer to Jonas Bjorkman as JB. Do fans call Bjorkman JB? or is this just an interplayer thing? what other nicknames do players have for each other?

Well, I think it's safe to say that Hewitt and Roddick don't refer to each other as 'Duck' and 'Potato' respectively :o

In an world of uncertainty there is one thing I know for sure, whatever you write
makes
a) no sense to me
or

Just an observation (I don´t hate you)

I am not sure if in these answers these are names that players call each other. I heard several players refer to Bjorkman as JB. I am really curious what nicknames players have for each other. has anyone else heard another player refer to Jonas as JB? Can I call Jonas by his nickname if i see him at Bercy?

Fingers crossed Juan Balcells isnt around ;)
I'm gonna sound a bit Juanqui-Lover ish when I say this... but when Jonas is around I don't pay much attention to anyone else. Only three other guys :yeah: I havent noticed anyone call him JB... In the yahoo group we sometimes refer to him as that when we get lazy . I just call him "hey, Jonas!"

All the British boys:
Mark Hilton 'Hilts'
Mark Petchey 'Petch'
Lee Childs 'Chinky'
Alex Bogdanovic 'Boggo'

wow, no one could get away with calling anyone Chinky in the States . it is not PC, not appropriate here
but I've noticed such differences in general between the Great Britain and its colony

In Toronto, Max Mirnyi called Mahesh Bhupati and Leander Paes "the black force" after losing the doubles title to them. Leander then jokingly said he could almost sue Max for discrimination! :D

Andy once called James Blake and Mardy Fish 'Jimmy Jam and the Fishman' so when I met James in Febraury I called him Jimmy Jam and he gave me the strangest look. I don't know if any of the players actually call Nic 'Kiwi', but I've heard his coach call him Nicky. I'll try to remember to ask JMG if he has any real nicknames anymore. I think the 'Hollywood' thing died when Courier left the tour, since he was the one who started it. A lot of the players call Justin G. 'Gimel' (Andre shouted it at him across the arena in San Jose at a practice session which made some people laugh). I also think a lot of the players use the 'Flip' nickname.

And the US is not a colony of Great Britain (its almost the other way around these days), so please join us here in the 21st century...

why do you call leyton potato?

there is a long discussion (and explanation) on Roger's Forum

short story-- Kafelnikov in a DC playoff said that he was "going to beat them in those potato fields of Australia" (Of course, K lost)

Yup, Cahill started with it.
Press calls the Hewitts the Griswolds, they are a family from a movie.

Sometimes, Lleyts calls himself Rusty...

'In moments of exhortation Lleyton Hewitt occasionally yells "Come on Rusty", a reference to the character Rusty Griswold from the movie Vacation.'

Woodbrigde at DC final:
"I thought he was done, done like a dinner, to be honest," said doubles star Todd Woodbridge. "At two sets all I was telling Rusty [Hewitt] to move his feet faster in the locker room. It's one of the best efforts that I have ever seen at being able to turn a match around
