Add all the ATP World Tour 500 that are playing since 1998-2001 and the new ATP World Tour 500 like Basel, Valencia, Hamburg & Beijing.

why Basel just from 2009 ? It was always the highest class of non GS or Masters 1000 tournaments . For winning Basel players were getting 250 points in the past and that was equivalent to today's Master 500

That is right but, not all the tournaments that given 250 points were part of the International Series Gold, Basel was part of International Series.

You can check that in this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATP_Rankings#Points_distribution_in_2008

But I will add some tournaments like Basel, Stuttgart among others that changed of kind of tournament it will be like an annex. I will list all the match wins do not care if were 250 or 500 in that dates.
