So what do you think? Who will go to SF with Roger from this group?

Tsonga in two.. Hopefully Nadal won't be bagelled again. :scared:

Judging on what I saw today I give Tsonga the upper hand. Hope I am as wrong about this as I was about the Fed-Nadal match.

Tsonga. Rafa clearly hurting.

If Nadal plays like the last few days it`s all in Tsonga`s racket really. If he can avoid the stupid errors and play his aggressive game he should come through.Nadal`s confidence is not at this event and is certainly thinking of beeing fit for Davis Cup.

GSMnadal

Rafa's backhand was terrible today, his forehand was terrible, his movement was poor, his serve is even worse than it was.

Nadal in 2

Just like heaven
11-22-2011, 08:49 PM
Rafa beat Tsonga in Paris in 2009 and he was playing awful back then.
The question is, will he want a meeting with Djokovic in the semifinals?

Sonja1989

Rafa's backhand was terrible in this year

Judging by Nadal's level today,.

Tsonga with 2 easy bagels.. Hell you may as well have Tsonga play Wozniaki instead it would be a similiar scoreline

Sadly Clownga could very well give The pusher a semi ticket.

Tsonga to win another 200 points and rise in the rankings!!!
To get what he deserves.

It might be painful, but I reckon Rafa will get it done. Jo has a good chance though.

Yay I've got a ticket to this too.

Jo in 3 I hope and think.

Tsonga has a great chance to advance here, but as bad as Nadal was today, he always seems to step it up in the matches that really matter. Think he's gonna make it in three sets, with Tsongas nerves costing him at least one set. Something like 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 Nadal.

Sophocles
11-22-2011, 10:27 PM
Tsonga is on balance a better indoor player (I know that sounds ungenerous, but even though he is far less effective indoors than out, Nadal's record in big indoor tournaments is arguably better than Tsonga's) & there are question marks about Nadal's form, so I'd expect Tsonga to win, but his tendency to brainfart tends to cost him against this opponent.

Tsonga aint Federer... Rafa in 3.

11-22-2011, 10:58 PM
Rafa will tank to avoid humiliation from Djokovic and rest for Davis Cup. I want to see Djokovic-Nadal one more time so I hope I am wrong, anyway I dont even know if he can beat Tsonga.

Tsonga.

MuzzahLovah
11-22-2011, 11:20 PM
In Rafa's current form, it would take a huge choke by Tsonga to lose this.

Shirogane

Don't care who wins; in fact I just want a good match, three sets.

Tsonga in 2.

Nadal has bigger worries than possible SF in tournament he knows he cant win anyway with this poor form. His teammates Lopez and Verdasco + Argentina team starts practising on Sevilla Olympic Stadium day after tomorrow.Huge stadium is sold out, everyone in Spain is sure their team is gonna win it . How exactly it helps Nadal to find and improve his CLAY form if he stays in London for 2 days or even 3 days longer ?

One may think, when he is back on clay, he is different animal, but form is form and it doesnt miraculously improve just because you are on your favorite surface. If your serve is weak and attackable, if you are on your last legs in the 3rd set vs Mardy Fish, how can you survive Davis Cup fivesetter ? But losing is not the option, you have to win somehow.

If I was uncle Toni, I would suggest : lets get out of here ASAP, 1-2 days rest and start practise in Seville.

Rafa needs to man up and beat Tsonga.

Nadal will win this, no way Clownga stays sharp throughout the match.

Filo V.
11-23-2011, 06:31 PM
Rafa looks old and flat, lacks confidence and the surface suits Tsonga's game, so Tsonga sort of has to win here, and I think he will, but not in straights.

Filo V.
11-23-2011, 06:32 PM
I would say Rafa in three if he were serving better than he is. He had nothing at all in the tank after two sets v Fish, and looked dead v Federer, so I don't see him just suddenly finding gas in the gas tank in this match.

its hard to think of clownga as the favorite in this match but i think he is.

I can see Tsonga in three, Nadal should win at least a set, somehow.

But, frankly, I want to see a freaking good tennis a I don´t care who will take the 2nd place in group.

abraxas21

a big part of me naturally wants him to lose. that much is usual

the weird thing is that a part of me wants him to win just so i can watch him lose for the seventh time in a row to djokovic

am i a bad person?

anyhow, i feel the outcome of this match poses a win-win situation for us, rafahaters

Maybe Jo in three, altough none of them are playing good, Tsonga at least got the serve. Altough he is making some silly mistakes.

Tsonga in 2, hopefully not another bagel for Rafa :sobbing:

Sophocles
11-23-2011, 08:49 PM
I was hoping to see Nadal lose to Djokovic again, but now that Djoker has somehow contrived to play even worse than Nadal, I think I want Tsonga to win this. Which he should.

Corey Feldman
11-23-2011, 08:57 PM
who wins this knows they are playing Ferrer in semi finals, what a luck

this is the type of scenario's that always fall on Nadal's lap

guga2120
11-23-2011, 09:01 PM
Jo in 2 as it should be. Rafa could not beat petra kvitova right now indoors.

MaxPower
11-23-2011, 09:10 PM
Think Jo ended his last match like a champion and Nadal ended his last match like a depressed junior player.

Judging by that Tsonga in 2.

Got to be kidding me. Tsonga is too much of a clown in these situations. Rafa in tight 2. Something like 7-5, 7-6(0) with Clownga blowing 0/14 Break Point opportunities :o.

Tsonga should win this if he doesn't clown around.

That, of course, is very, very big "if".

11-24-2011, 08:42 AM
Nadal will probably play like in his matches against Fish and Federer.Just put the ball into play and hope for the error. If it doesn`t come he will lose and if Tsonga is full of errors it will be a close match which Nadal might take it

Nadal in str8s and then def Ferrer in the semis and wins his first WTF...

Ben.
11-24-2011, 02:25 PM
Rafa will enjoy the best seat in the house to see Tsonga slap some winners or spray some errors/choke. Would love to see Rafa just come out and go for broke though, trying to play his game in his current form is painful to watch.

If it's useless why do you bother to follow it comming here to type biggest nonsense I ever came across on this place (although I was absent for a long time). It's enough to have a single Nadal fan such as you to irritate all sane people here to the limit.

The worst do or die match for Rafa, Tsonga is one opponent Rafa would not want to face. Interesting to see who comes out on top. I've already made my prediction with Tsonga in 3.
