Interesting that there were only two tiebreak sets in finals this year (although I haven't exactly scrutinised stats for previous years :p). The Cincy final was obviously lacking because it wasn't finished. Madrid was good I reckon, Nole's victory there was really surprising, plus the Miami final was in doubt right to the last minute. I personally enjoyed Paris quite a lot too ;)

Murray lost in Monte Carlo semi, not Dodig. No real standout tournament, I suppose Madrid/Rome had some good, drama filled matches

Oh no  Going to change that asap! :p

Haha I should have noticed that there was no way Dodig would get to a Masters 1000 semi :p

Rome best quality matches...Miami maybe also

Indian Wells. The final maybe wasn't so much good as the other Master's finals, but the semi finals were entertaining, as well as a few other matches.

Miami because of all of those ridiculous first round upsets. The final was good too.

Rome had the best quality, even if I loved Miami's final.
Paris of course with the greatest number of votes because it is the most recent  Ridicolous who voted for that.

Kinda bad Masters 1000 year. In my opinion no really epic tournament. Miami/Rome/Paris were the least bad. Gonna say Rome

Doubtless Miami, yet I voted for Rome. That Final with Djokster taking it once again to Nadal on his beloved surface was fraught with tension and suspense.

Hahaha i see Paris is leading, people have such a short term memory it's unbelievable.
It was actually a pathetic tournament with either a lot of names missing or players not at 100 percent, the final was pathetic.
Most of all, it was played on a pathetic surface for an indoor court.

Voo de Mar

Paris was weak, too many lopsided matches :o Two best players in the world injured, lack of the defending champion Soderling...

Rome without a doubt .Djokovic beating Murray in 3+ hours and then coming in 15 hours to beat the king of clay who was rested

Results of this freaking poll just go to show y'all how great of a role fangoyism plays here. A tourney like Bercey, sans most of the best, is winning the poll? Nah. Miami & Rome, and pretty much all the others were above this stink-fest in Paris. Kinda fed up with a particular player's phans, to be honest.

Jaz

It has to be Rome because of the significance it had for clay.

Not shit, but Rome was easily the best in terms of tennis. The top players were all healthy, playing well in one of the most important tournaments.

The clowns bandwagoning Paris, :silly:
And who the hell voted for Cinci? I love Murray, but tournament always sucks.

The top players were all there and were all healthy and all played well. The final does not make the tournament. The sf Andy/Nole was one of the best matches all year in any tournament.

Berdych-Murray in Paris was a better match

and doesnt matter that Nadal wasnt there and Nole was half fit - the cream of the indoor kings rose to the top this week.. Fed, Berdy, Tsonga, Isner, Muzza and gave a great tournament, clay is a 2 man surface as shown

Nadal is nothing on Indoor

Lol, wtf are you talking about, indoor king? You act like Paris was played on carpet. That court was slower than Indian Wells. Nole has won Paris before when he played normal. If he was fit, he would have blown thru everybody on a court like that. It was terrible master series as usually is, b/c it is played in Novemeber.

well to be honest Novak won 5 right?Monte Carlo was not the best we all agree,Cincy was shit with Murray's draw and Novak's injury,Paris was mediocre and Shanghai was without Fed and Djokovic plus Nadal went out in the 1st round or so and Murray again had 250 draw so my only other options were those that Novak won....;)

The problem is that season is long enough as it is and what are they doing? Slow court so players are even more exhausted.
This tournament was full of shit, Federer only beat exhausted Berdych and Tsonga, Who did Tsonga beat to reach the final?
Only the Berdych-Murray was decent.

Paris in second place? No wonder I hate this site.

I think best was Rome. This is about whole tournaments.
1. Rome - best clay match of the year Nole-Andy, also F was great- Nole beat Rafa 1st time on ,,real,, clay and everyone thought he is exhausted after SF. Whole tournament was good i think, but SF and F were great, enjoyble, memories will stay in my mind from Rome.

2. Cinci - maybe most of people would say it was bad, too many retirements, but i would personally without retirements give it at 1st place, but those retirements cost it 1st place - whole tournament i enjoy, fast HC, i was really happy with Cinci surface and also matches weren´t long rallies, but it was refreshing to see such tennis.

Miami, IW - both were slow, with Nole-Rafa in F, i would say were good events, but not best.
Paris i think was average, only reason i can imagine why Paris got so many votes is, because Roger won finally Master 1000 after don´t know how long, so every Fed fan probably vote for Paris, but really PAris was average, Nole injured, no Rafa, surface speed was big shock, last year Bercy was 10x more fun, i enjoyed that quick Bercy much more.

Worst was probably Shanghai - not their fault, but no Nole, Roger, Rafa, also just another HC tournament with 0 memorable matches.

Madrid, MC, Montreal were average, some matches were good, generally nothing extraordinary.

1000 events bore me but I enjoyed the Clay 1000 this year. Especially Rome. Other than that Enjoyed Miami too.

Obviously Shanghai was the best ;)

But any objective person would have to go with Rome. Gasquet played one of his best match of his life to upset a healthy Fed, Murray came back into form took Nole the biggest test of his streak before it ended in Paris, and Nole, somehow, someway, then came back to beat a healthy, rested Nadal, the best clay court specialist since Bjorg. It was better tournament than Roland Garros, that's for sure.

Paris only had one competitive match between top players, and neither of them played very well. The rest was scavenging and choking and 1-sided snoozers.
