Not-too-unexpected (WTA-like scoreline) result, great victory for the young German though ;). First semifinal ever in a Challenger tournament for him - and first three main draw victories ever on hard surfaces, excluding the Futures tour of course. Plus, he will greatly improve his best ranking (#270 as of Monday, now he's around #231 I think). Plays Begemann or Kamke next.

soeda is just hilarious

6 match points in the tiebreak and he pretty much melted down from there

great week for peter though, good to see that the younger germans are starting to step up and so something now

Soeda had 6 match points in the TB. He led 6-2*, *7-6 and 8-7* :o
I was thinking about betting on Soeda this morning, and I'm so glad I didn't :sport:

And Niland loses 12 games in a row after taking the first set 6-3 against Kamke. :)

Torebko´s seasson wasn´t actually bad, we might hear about him a bit more in the next years.

I really like his game, he has a good serve, good touch and nice flat shots. Reminds me a lot of Dolgo, phisically and playwise.
