Nole is off-form and I don't think that the desire is quite there.

My prediction: Jo takes the game to him and the match in two

Since Djokovic is not at his best, Tsonga has good chances. Simple as that.

I can't see Tsonga doing an 'effort' like Troicki did today. Jo-Willie in two.

Even injured, Nole will beat Kinder Bueno, if Querrey did it in Valencia, I can't imagine Nole losing this match, except if he retires or W/O...which could be a srategy to stay healthy for Master . Everything is possible with Nole, he's such a good "actor" !!

Lets be honest here. Djokovic would rather be anywhere but Paris at the moment. He is done for the year. He tried his best to tank against Troicki but Troicki is a useless as they come.

This thread is unification of all those little tards who suffered hard time this year...

Where was Jo in Wimbledon and Canada, where was in AO final 2008...nowhere, everytime when it really matters he folded against Novak.

Now hype like this last masters in season when everybody is drained have to prove anything?! Jo can win tommorow, but who cares...

If Novak find some energy and will, he will win, otherwise, time is for closing this brilliant season and go to rest. You will stay in front of your computers and writing that he is a loser, but really losers are only you...

One thing is to be right and a different thing is to make these unnecessary comments now before his clash with him. I think it's disrespectful and completely out of place.
It's obvious the annoying French has a beef with Novak since he lost his only slam final in 2008 to him. Jealousy is such a bad thing. Probably he's my most disliked player in the whole atp tour, can't stand the guy.

It takes a special kind of tard to buy into those completely manufactured "rivalries" and "trash-talking" that top players supposedly engage into.

It's even worse when the players in question are merely stating the obvious, probably after being asked a direct question.

You don't like him(to be polite)...that's ok, when you not starts to point your darts in his fake injuries...that is lame, why would fake the injuries against Nishikori, and eat a baggel. Novak had some bad decisions in the past, some match retire when that was not the right way to finish the match... but he stand on the court and lose 6-0, clearly bothered with his shoulder...

I never wrote a single bad word about Nadal and Federer, I respect Fed talent and Nadal fight spirit... but I dont respect some of their fans(tards) who writes a sh*it in every Novak's thread.

I said that Novak had some bad decisions when he quited some matches... what is the sane reason to fake the injury against Nishikori, in first set he called medical, when he dominated... explain me that with some good arguments and I will admit that I was wrong.

Exactly. That's why Tsonga's comments are so out of place. I mean, he's always been mean to Djokovic one way or another, boy must be really jealous... IQ of an ant.

Roadmap
11-11-2011, 12:09 AM
Djokovic cannot be compared to Federer in terms of talent or achievements. We know his style of play means he will struggle to match half of what Fed did. Neither can the Serb yet be compared to Nadal for trophies in the cabinet. They can be compared in other ways though. :tape:

v-money
11-11-2011, 12:25 AM
Tsonga said he's not scarred of Djokovic and his fans are throwing a fit. Not everyone has to bow down to the master.

So he's more intimidated by Rafa and Fed. This makes sense because those guys have been at the top for longer. Tsonga had a 5-2 H2H against Djokovic until this year, and this year he played him well at Wimbledon and was injured in Montreal. Maybe he's legitimately not scared and believes that he can win tomorrow unlike homeboys Tipsy and Troicki, who lose the match in the locker room.

I think a confident Tsonga takes it in 2, in Djokovic sticks around for that long.

Which is absolutely the truth.

Context matters though.

If Tsonga was asked "Djokokovic has had a great season. How does his greatness compare to that Federer and Nadal?", then what he said was appropriate. Judging by the article, this sounds like what he was asked, so everyone (read: Nole tards) should just calm the hell down.

If Tsonga was asked something like "What does it take to beat Djokovic, who's had a great season this year?", then his comments are basically sour grapes.

Tsonga to take out Djokovic in 2 sets :D. This guy loves playing with Nole, will probably press him from the start. 7-6, 6-4. Errors from Tsonga will lead to a 3 set defeat though.. (though I really think Tsonga will win in two).

I have to say I love this poll (almost very even), first legitimate poll by MTF in a long time. Apparently people are taking into account Tsonga/Djokovic tight sets and rally qualities, Tsonga playing in France, and Djokovic's shoulder issues. Rather than 90% voting for Djokovic on the premise that he's a higher tier, while 10% vote for Tsonga.

Tsonga over Djokovic 1-6 0-4 (ret.)

Djokovic proceeds to tell the press that he is injured and that he is unsure if he can play London.

Obviously you know him in person and play matches against them to decide.

Yes that is correct.

Tsonga to win the one set that will be played. Faker to retire with a fake injury in the second set.

this might happen. but it won't be fake. the guy has an injury, it's obvious.

I still think most votes account for people hoping Djokovic will win, hoping Djokovic will lose and hoping Tsonga will win. Nothing realistic about these polls. The fact that it looks realistic is pure coincidence :)

Then why does he keep on electing to play? Is he thick?

"For the moment he has less aura than Roger and Rafa," Tsonga, who has a 5-4 record against Djokovic and has never lost indoors against him, told reporters after a 6-3 6-4 victory over Italy's Andreas Seppi on Thursday.

"(He has less aura) because of the number of victories in grand slams, but also the others were at the top for many years, even if Novak had a very good year this year.

"So he's quite far from what the others achieved. His career is not as complete and his position on the tour is not as historical."

Tsonga said he is relishing another clash with Djokovic who he beat on the way to winning the Paris Masters title in 2008.

"Whatever happens, he plays great. When I'm on that court, I have nothing to lose against him," the sixth seed said.

"That way I'm thinking when I go onto the court against him he has more to lose than I do. So I always go to try to play my best tennis, and I'm sure it is the reason why every time I play against him I play my best tennis."

pussykovic got intimidated by ali tsonga. ergo he decided to quit.

:haha:

Tsonga does look slightly like a certain boxer.

Maybe we could call it the "Paris Punch-up" although the "Thriller in Manilla" sounded better.

Turned out to be the "Pussy-out in Paris" Tsonga Bumaye.

Nothing much in Jo's comments. Everything he said was perfectly reasonable. It's not like he just called a press conference to make these statements, he would have been asked specific questions by the journalists. People seem to forget this.

How awesome would that have been?

"All right guys, I've made all of you come here to tell you : Djokovic is a pussy and I will break him."

"No questions? Tsonga out"
