Took a while but bent over eventually.

The leak on the court was a talking point.

troicki must have had a fight with djokovic prior to the match. that propelled him to fight for the first set. then re-thought about it and decided to bend over for his master in sets 2 and 3.

Not in best shape, but good enough for Viktor...

3rd set was very good, v2.0 Novak sweeps him from the court.

Troicki is beyond useless. Djokovic tried so hard to tank that second set it's not even funny but Troicki blew chance after chance. Then in the third Djokovic was hitting the ball completely differently, he probably realized it would go faster if he just won.

Djokovic saying in interview talking about the first set- "I felt a little pain in the shoulder"

That explains it.

He thinks he'll be fine for the WTF so his fans shouldn't worry too much, he doesn't seem to think he's doing any damage here.

Just one game, 2-2 in second, Novak was nervous and try to hit a winners early in the point... litlle bit lucky, on break point bad call, that was out... after that, clean slaughter.

Viktor when he plays his defensive game good enough, he is hard opponent...mentally mug, but hard to break him.

it is not a significant injury. players tweak joints and muscles all the time but you can't use an extremely small problem as an overall excuse for any loss of a set or a match... it just makes them seem like a coward in facing loss, not able to own up

I don't think players bend for anyone. To what purpose? They try to win as much as the next but because they know how much better their peers are they normally get anxious or are too much in awe of them. But so do 80% of the tour.
Or are you implying that they love their teammates so much that they play to lose every match? If anything they're more motivated to win against them than any other.

If you want we can look at the h2h of the tops with other players in the top 50 and you'll see similar results.

there is the exception: rodduck. a psychopath who pretends that usa players are the celebrities of all countries' players. he still hopes opponents will form a players' union with him to cancel several tournaments.
i'm sure he wants millions of dollars for doing nothing in clay and indoor events. poor duck has no one to manipulate.
duck knows he fakes humbleness in front of other usa players, and is a surrenderer. his face expression can't hide these things. though/

Match ups.

Nadal is a theoretically easier match up for Verdasco cause the topspin CC goes into his lefty forehand. Djokovic on the other hand has more in his arsenal to negate Verdasco's game, such as counter-punching or returning the ball hard with interest.

Verdasco should have an easier time with Nadal, but cause he's so in awe of him, he bares his arse.

As I said two or three of verdasco's wins against Nole happened when Nole was in his worst career slump and served more double faults than aces per match. At that time anyone could have beat Djokovic.

Again look at most h2h and you'll see a pattern. Like Roddick against Federer? that's what I call ownership of the highest order.

Sure is, he struggles against all-courters and variety, hence his head to head against Murray and Haas.

BTW Nadal has tried to tank a couple of those Verdasco matches, but Nando's so afraid he hasn't let him. Cincinnati was one of those. Verdasco can take care of a shit Novak but not a shit, tanking Nadal.

Well, aren't you lucid today? :hearts:
Agree completely. Verdasco actually hates Nadal's guts. In these cases there is a lot of envy and jealousy, like it would happen between brothers, it's only normal. But Verdasco does not bend for Rafa. Remember that epic semifinal at AO 2009 that Rafa ended up winning by a very small margin? That's the best I've ever seen Nando play. And he lost because he was the mentally weakest of the two. He never truly believed he could beat Nadal because he knows deep down that he's not worthy. Same as Wawra with Roger or Janko and Vik with Nole.

Pirata.
