Pretty good stuff from Feds, no mental lapses, looked sharp indeed. :yeah:
But he did so last year just the same only to lose to Monfils, so I won't be drawing any premature conclusions towards his chances of winning here. ;)

Mannarino had a decent start, saw quite some nice aggressive attacking attempts from him in the 1st set, but of course he's no match to Decent!Fed. After his fall early in the 2nd set, he obviously was done-and-dusted.

Nice from Fed. The backhand really does seem semi-reliable these days, he has really cut down on the some of the shanks he is famous for on his Backhand side.

I've only ever seen Mannarino play one decent match, and that was against Isner. :o

Adrian just could not trouble Fed on his serve. Didn't even force a break point. Mannarino had a chance to get a break back in the first set, down 4-2 & at 30-30, but missed an easy forehand and that was the closest it ever got.

poor adrian.

He picked the right sport. There are not many people in the entire world better than him at his profession.
At the highest level, his weaknesses will be exposed. But water is also wet.

He's not so fast around the court but he takes the ball extremely early, which is a terrific way to compensate in the modern game. He needs to improve his lefty serve and get more consistent overall. Such improvements could get him into the top 50 comfortably. At 23 he still has time. The very top players who maximize pressure on the opponent without playing with excessive risk will give Adrian huge problems for now, but he can give lesser players trouble.

Muzzahlover needs to troll on every Fed's topic, otherwise his life would be so empty :rolls:

Expected result. Mugnarino is a talentless player who should stick to challengers. Olderer destroyed him in his sleep, just as I predicted :o
