Sound when you hit the ball

Hi I have a question to ask. Usually when we with the ball the ' POKKKK!! ' sound will come out right? But when I hit the ball with the racket I just bought yesterday, the sound is not
' POKKKK! ' But ' TANGGGG!! ' (like a steel sound). Whats wrong with my racket? Oh yeah the string I used is Wilson Stamina Spin gauge 16, is it because of the string ?

Are you using a vibration dampener? Put one on and see what happens.

The POKKKK you described comes from above average players "popping their wrists" at contact. Perhaps your hitting the frame when you strike the ball which is common.

WTF?

Anyway, yeah, not all players will be able to hit as cleanly as the pros do, so don't mind the sound of the ball when it makes contact with your racquet. Just make sure you have the proper technique...keep your head still, watch the ball, move your feet, and follow through. Try to put lots of spin on the ball. Gosh I sound like my mom.

NO, I hit it exactly on the string & the sweet spot, not hit the racket. When I use anyone's racket the "POKKK!!" is coming out, only my raket produce the strange 'TANGG' sound.
Should I use vibration Dampener like loner1984 said above? which one?

good call by loner1984. a vibration dampener will probably do the job. you can buy those anywhere where they sell tennis stuff. you can also tie a rubber band around the strings where the dampener would go on the the racket, which is what i personally do because the rubberband doesnt fly off like my dampener sometimes did. theres a certain way you need to tie the tubber band but i dont know how to explain it to you. hope this helped anyways :)

It is not because the string tension too high? The racket I've use don't have vibration dampener on it but can produce a proper sound, does it mean I've bought a bad racket, so I've to use vibration dampener?

The most typical sound I hear when I hit the ball is hysterical laughter from the other side of the net (gotta stop playing against my mom). ;) ;)

Use it. I had the same problem.

No, doesn't mean that. Most (or at least many) pros use a vibration dampener. Just try it, buy one and see what happens. I'm definetely sure it will help get what u want ;)
