Interesting. I just got an email from the ABN Amro World Tennis tournament. Players who have confirmed their entry for the February '05 event are:

Schalken, Sluiter, Verkerk, Henman, Nalbandian and Grosjean.

So at least Seb still wants to play. That's good news, isn't it?

Great news at last! He hasn't forsaken tennis all together! I really really hope he will turn up at the Rotterdam tournament next February...
Does anyone know any more news about him? Is he still avoiding the press? Has he found another coach?

And if he's entered for Rotterdam, is he still planning on playing in the Australian Open? I mean, I just want him to play again so Rotterdam is great... but I really want to see him in Melbourne!!!

Yes Peta, I agree!! No news yet though. What about Kooyong? I'm gonna check the official page and see if there is anything new posted.

So relieved Seb didn't give up.

i just feel so schocked when I read that, the Madrid tennis master series matches used the models to be ball-boys... that's such a bad idea! It makes the tennis game more entertaining but not respecting ladies I guess... feels like the ladies in the boxing match... so disappointed to such tennis match!
ahahaaaa... I wonder what will Seb think if he's in that match!

Quote of a russian girl who met arnaud in saint petersburg and who asked him news about seb...

"So I asked Arnaud about Sebastien. He said that he wasn’t sure if Seb really was going to play in Rotterdam and next year at all.... But also Arnaud said that Seb was really at home with his family and everything was good with him, he was ok. Arnaud told about Sebastien with a part of sorrow but not so sad and convinced me that Seb was happy and everything would be good."

Not very good news...

Merci Marine!
Not too bad, eh? At least we got that he is okay at home and happy with his family.
I know it's hard to cheer ourselves up only with such infos that he is still alive or otherwise, and certainly it's a real tough job for me coz I'm suffering from a bad cold, fever, sore throat, as a result of which, I can have my voice back to speak loudly to myself, UP UP UP Stella!!! Well, I still insists on his great capability. And thankfully, all my friends here HOPE FOR THE BEST and ARE CONVINCED THAT HE JUST CAN, CAN MAKE IT.
Seb fans are all OPTIMISTS as Lizanne once told me. ;)

We damn well have to be!!!
Still no news about his new coach if he has any?
Anyway, this bit of news is quite cheerful in my opinion. It's good to know he's okay and not experiencing a big mental crisis or whatever it really was. With a bit of luck he'll return just in time to make me like tennis again - and yet again hope that he will impress the rest of the world with his beautiful tennis! After this mess I'd say he really deserves to win something nice...like an important title!

good, stella! i always think seb is lucky to have ones of the nicest fans in the world. In fact, except Roger fans, we all need some kind of great optimistic spirit, shouldn't we? It is still several months from next year's Rotterdam. Like the other recover-from-injury players, all of them should need a period of time to play quite a few tourneys to find their state before injury. So, if seb's health is no problem, why shouldn't he go Rotterdam? at least, he is already in that entry list, right?

and stella, hope you can get well soon from the damn cold! also our Shen Hua :wavey:

Despite their poor form this year, I will never lost my enthusiasm on MY SHEN HUA. ;) Ten years hard work with them cost us too much

thanks for your regards! good to have met you online last time. I'm looking forward to another chat :wavey:

Thank Marine for the info ; )
As it was in St Petersburg, and that "l'équipe" wrote during bercy that seb had begin his training, i hope he'll really play next year! ;) Perhaps he prefers see his children grow up....but a career of tennisman is not so longer seb!!!!! ;) and he has/can so many things to win! :p ( Roland garrossss )

seb's back at training did you say?? I guess it would be suicide if he just stopped completely for the whole time, unless he had SERIOUS problems no one would let him do that.

So...no news of where he'll be before Rotterdam yet?
