Haase's knee apparently, not again! So sad for him.
Or is it Haase's poor mentality? I'm not sure.

I'm not sure. rhinooooo 06-25-2011, 01:54 PM Haase retiring with a knee problem. Umpire asked if he wanted the trainer, he said it wouldn't make a difference. Terrible news, really hope it's not serious. Only saw the first set of the match, Fish was a class above him on the surface, moved better, excellent approach shots and net play, big serving, and more powerful strokes. alfonsojose 06-25-2011, 01:55 PM :( Poor guy. Mardy finally in the 2nd week at SW19 Hewitt =Legend 06-25-2011, 01:57 PM Yes, strange that he didn't want the trainer, must mean he knows whats wrong and there is nothing that can be done to help him (at least get through the match). Hope it's not serious, he doesn't need another setback... Fish going about his business quietly. FlameOn 06-25-2011, 02:48 PM Nooo. :hysteric: Hian-GOAT 06-25-2011, 02:48 PM King Solomon :yeah: asmazif 06-25-2011, 02:49 PM ahhh Robin  annoying. Anyway Fish v Bird :yeah: Could and should be interesting... :) Certinfy 06-25-2011, 03:08 PM   Sunset of Age 06-25-2011, 03:22 PM Sh*t, Haase's knee - again? :scared:  Anyways, not that he had much of a chance. I saw the first two sets, and it may just be me, but Fish should have won that 2nd set, if he not had brainfarted away some 79634136109 BPs at 5-*5. Congrats to him for reaching the 2nd week of Wimbledon! :hatoff: Robin... CooCooCachoo 06-25-2011, 03:23 PM Surprised he even took a set off Fish to be honest. Too bad he's injured. hotdog 06-25-2011, 03:26 PM Haase said he hurt his right knee when he slipped during his second-round match against Fernando Verdasco, and that the knee had a buildup of fluid. But Haase also explained that the knee wasn't the problem against Fish. "The reason why I gave up now was everything else was hurting me - my legs, back, other knee - except for the knee where the fluid is in," Haase said. "In my head, I couldn't play probably anymore," Haase continued, "because I was scared to injure something else." Sunset of Age 06-25-2011, 03:26 PM Surprised he even took a set off Fish to be honest. Fish should never have lost that set, he got tons of BPs, but failed to convert, in 99% of cases caused by an UE. timafi 06-25-2011, 03:29 PM that knee again:scared: viruzzz 06-25-2011, 03:30 PM Good win for pescado, his best Wimbledon so far! But it's kinda difficult for him right now, he defends 2 titles in July and the Cincy final. But he also didn't play Canada, Shanghai and Paris. He could make some points there. MariaV 06-25-2011, 03:32 PM What a pity for Haase!  ReturnWinner 06-25-2011, 03:48 PM Poor Haase  He has suffered very bad knee injuries unlike Nadull. rhinooooo 06-25-2011, 03:49 PM Haase said he hurt his right knee when he slipped during his second-round match against Fernando Verdasco, and that the knee had a buildup of fluid. But this guy is made of glass, and looks like he's going to need a bit of mental help to get over his past injury. Sunset of Age 06-25-2011, 03:50 PM That's good news in the end. But this guy is made of glass, and looks like he's going to need a bit of mental help to get over his past injury. I'm not so sure about that. Mental problems because of fear of a reoccuring injury aren't easy to deal with either... cobalt60 06-25-2011, 04:01 PM Glad for Fishy ; sorry for Haase straitup 06-25-2011, 04:09 PM Fish :rocker2: Seems like an interesting one next round rhinooooo 06-25-2011, 04:14 PM I'm not so sure about that. Mental problems because of fear of a reoccuring injury aren't easy to deal with either... Yep, it's very difficult. That's why I think he's going to need some mental help too. Any niggles and physical ailments are going to make him worry alot more than other players. Reminds me of Arjen Robben. jcempire 06-25-2011, 05:08 PM Good JOB done by both of them tangerine_dream 06-25-2011, 05:25 PM Fishburger! :D Stayin' alive like John Travolta. :rocker2: Vamos_Me_Rafa 06-25-2011, 05:45 PM Congrats to Mardy, sucks he won this way but glad he's still in the tournament!! :) Jimnik 06-25-2011, 05:54 PM Well done Fishy. Undisputed American #1. Deivid23 06-28-2011, 08:02 AM The reason why I gave up now was everything else was hurting me: my legs, back, other knee, except for the knee where the fluid is in. Q. Everything? ROBIN HAASE: Everything else was starting to hurt me: my back, my legs, my other knee. So that was the reason why I stopped, because in my head I couldn't play probably anymore because I was scared to injure something else. Never read sth like this, looks like Haase´s body won´t ever let him reach higher heights | |
