Came out today and won in about 2 minutes, was on fire and didn't even lose a point. :haha:

Fish or Haase next, could be tough for Tomas even though he wins, Nadal will knock him out!

36W 8UE as well, great stats for his first 3 matches and by far the least games dropped of any player in the draw up to this point. All looking good. Only faced 1BP all tournament and was only broken once, brilliant! Highest % won on first serve out of all the players as well!

Anybody been watching Berdych's matches? Is his game as tuned in as the stats and scorelines would suggest? If so he is dangerous for anyone although given recent history with Nadal even if he does get by Fish/Haase you have to think he will end up losing.

Turned my stream on and it was already 5-3*, 30-0, didn't expect Tomas to do it this fast, but well done for catching a good start. Yesterday Tomas was pretty solid again, just like in his previous rounds. Bogomolov had just no offensive weapons to hurt him, same as Benneteau and Volandri. He played not too bad, but without at least one strong weapon it's tough to play on grass against a powerful guy.
As I said, Tomas was playing well, serve was a way off in the first set (only 32% of 1st serves in), can't afford this against the big guys, but he improved it a bit in the last two sets. Baseline play was working well for him, still think he should approach the net a little bit more, but no need this time. Well done.

Yeah, I have, but I guess my reviews might have been a little bit boring as I always just said he was solid ;)
Seriously, he has definitely improved his form. Only facing one breakpoint in the first three rounds (against Benneteau when he got broken at *1-0 first set) is really good, his first serve is working, he still should manage to get more first serves in imho. His old problem really. Haven't looked at the stats yet, but I'm pretty sure his 1st serve percentage should have been below 60% in at least two of his three matches. Can make the difference against the big guys, otherwise he's been doing fine. Forehand looks a little better again, especially the running forehand which was a major weapon last year and then just kinda disapparead. He had a kind draw as well as Volandri, Benneteau und Bogomolov are not exactly grass-court-specialists, but he's certainly done his job and that's what matters.

Berd looked very sharp indeed against Benneteau. Of course, Benny lets opponents play, so we largely don't know how Berdy's ability to hit on the move is, or to seize control of rallies before an aggressive opponent can do so.

A-Bog up to 66 in the post-Wimby rankings.

This Berdych is good. He'll hit through Nadal without any problems, but the question is, will he choke?

It's by far the best he's played all year, thing is against the players he's played it's hard to tell where his form is exactly, but it's good.

Great win, Tomas. Looking great so far, could give Nadal some problems and will hopefully get revenge for that terrible performance in the final last year.

Well done again, Tomas! Only saw bits and pieces of this match, but it to me it looked like 'cruise control' all throughout. Berd's doing very fine indeed, hope he keeps it going.
